We have to switch lights out when thier is no one in a room, they will spend the equivalent our our gate receipts on champagne for the party afterwards!

Twas the same in our first promotion under Graydon, with the Man City behemoth left in our wake.

Now I hope Huddersfield knock them out and SheffU do the same to Stevenage (so it's an MKD vs Stevenage play-off final I guess). :?

Still, at least Stevenage spoiled any party for Lee Hughes at NottsC.

Give me Notts County over Stevenage any day.

I reckon between 1000 and 1500.

The MK Dongers stands were pretty sparse.

Had to laugh when their players came back out and there were only a few hundred of their plastic fans left in the stadium!

Probably was, lower tier is huge, nevertheless dire support vocally from them yet again, worse than last season, and I didn't think that was physically possible.

Good day anyways, decent enough turn-out. Large.

 Made me chuckle that, and then the bloke that escaped through the stewards arms to run and hug Wacka at FT. Good stuff. Wish I'd have trained it though, I'm fully sober.

Laughable football club they are anyways, whatever attendances they pull.

First away game of the season, incidentally only managed this game last one as season as well.

Compare the volume of our fans to theirs and there was no contest - they hardly raised a murmur all match, exactly like last season.

Hate their history, or lack of, but do like the ground - £7 to park the car was an almighty rip off though!!

Why do it then? Decent amount of free parking around the ground.

7 quid's scandalous, never in a million years would I pay that!

Have you been to the Beza lately? We can hardly criticise other clubs when our own home vocal support is borderline dire.

We at least groan from time to time.

If we had the acoustics, the Bescot would be a lot better than it actually is.

Top day out: my boy was the Walsall mascot and loved every minute of it. The players were fantastic with him as were Smith, Whitney and in particular Woods.

I thought we could have smashed them today: we played the much better football and deserved our win. Class goal from Grigg, hoped for a few more from him this season.

Oh and before Blazing gets here. We'll piss in the sink, we'll piss in the sink, we're Walsall FC, we'll piss in the sink.

I thought Blazing's bladder was gonna bust in front of us. Fancy giving us the female toilets and expecting us to wait until a cubicle became free :D

Not while the odious Lee Hughes is at NottsC. I can't stand Stevenage's style of football, but I'm really glad they ousted Hughes & Co from the play-offs, and now we'll have the pleasure of witnessing SheffU wiping out Stevenage anyway, which must be good for football. :)

Was a great day, match wasn't all that important, but was a great turnout, vocal support, no bother (that I saw anyway) and everyone generally having a good time.

We are Walsall.

Sun May 06, 2012 9:45 am

I got drunk, but the main points were:

1. We were good.

2. Grigg's goal was great.

3. We could have scored 3 or 4.

4. After watching Hudds and MK in successive weeks, put your money on Hudds.

5. The MK fans make about as much noise as a door mouse with a cough.

6. Becks is fantastic.
