Went to Exeter's game at Rochdale yesterday. Exeter completely bossed the game for 70 minutes against a dire Rochdale team and could have been 4 or 5 up rather than just 2-0. Then their keeper, who was dodgy throughout, dived out of the way of a routine shot & suddenly the game was transformed, with Rochdale scoring another 2 (one a lob with the keeper well out of position), as well as hitting the post.

My conclusions for next Saturday is that whilst they are quite neat footballing side going forward, our defence is far superior to Rochdale's so they shouldn't pose us too much trouble. They are definitly vulnerable at the back with the keeper, based on yesterday's showing a definite weak link - at fault with 2 of the goals plus he made some poor kicks straight to Rochdale forwards.

Prediction - 3-1 to the Saddlers

I said prior to kick off on Saturday, that anything less than 4,000 for such an important last-but-one home match would be a joke. And it was.

I notice that Wycombe had over 5,000 for their last-but-one home match, and they're in a much worse position than us, with Oldham taking possibly a smaller amount than Tranmere did [330].

I could not believe the ripple of applause in the upper tier when the attendance of 3,895 was announced. It should have at the very least scrapped the 4k mark IMHO.

We will take 500 on Saturday though.

Actually, regarding the space I remember Leeds fans getting 'crushed' somewhat when the terrace had zero walking space at the front, ECFC got proper hounded and obviously took quick action and sorted it out.
