Apart from Preston's late equaliser today really couldn't have gone much better in terms of results. Pressure off on Monday. Nobody's expecting us to get anything and generally that's when we've been at our best this season. Onwards!

I'd have taken 4 points out of 6 from the last two games, so pretty pleased. However, defeat at Charlton combined with positive results for Leyton Orient [at Exeter], Wycombe [at Chesterfield] and Bury [at home to Colchester] will put us right back in the scrap.

Pressure is off to an extent on Monday, but it will certainly be back on for the following week if we get beat at The Valley and other results go against us. However, we have a good recent record against Charlton [unbeaten in four] so with our new goal laden side you never know.

Two reasons for optimism:
1. Charlton have failed to win home games against Scunthorpe, Tranmere, Oldham, Bury, Rochdale and Colchester this season - so it's not an impossible task.
2. If we win two more games (say Tranmere and Exeter) and Wycombe lose two more (say, Sheff Wed and Charlton away) then we're safe, no questions asked.
