Will be my first home game in 2 years so will be happy with a win ( 3-1, I think) .... having seen 7 draws, a win & a defeat away this season.

It's also important to point out that Wycombe play Carlisle at home the day before this game - so there will be a massive incentive either way.

Should be a decent attendance for this one, no idea how many Chesterfield are making the relatively short trip though.

Feels very, very wrong wanting Carlisle to win, but I guess I'll roll with it, just this once.

But they wow will they, just like Oldham let us down by losing at home to Leyton Orient (virtually taking 'em out of the picture), and Tranmere let us down by allowing Bury win thier first game in yonks, we will draw..again..in yet another game that we should walk to a win, get mullered at Charlton (of course) and were back in the mix big time...always waiting on results from elsewhere!
Ledesma putting on half a dozen match winning performance single handedly (with help from Butler) and we may have a chance of avoiding relegation...should he get sent off for any 'tempestuous latin' outburst, then we are doomed Mr Mannering dooomed!!!!

There's only 1 thing that will let Walsall FC down & that's Walsall FC! We don't help ourselves by throwing away 26 points during the course of a season!

1-0 to Chesterfield.
Jack Lester scores in 7th minute of added on time after he should have been sent off for stomping and after we have been showboating for 96 minutes.
Seriously - I think if we beat them this should make it mathematically impossible for them to stay up.
Such a vital game it should be on the telly - it would have been nice to see the Chesterfield fans weeping into their bovril....

I've not been terrified of a football match for some years now. What will be, will be.

Of our last 6 games, this is the most winnable. We really need 3 points from this match.

A frustrating 2-2 draw in front of 4,286, including 505 Spireites.

2-1 Saddlers. Hurst & Macken.
Us to score in the first half, them to equalise after half time. Us to nick it in the last minute.

Re: Chesterfield (H) League 1 Saturday 7/4/12.
Like a poster above has observed, deffo squeaky bum day tomorrow, I'll be there, but not looking forward to it really, a game we must win, and should win, but don't we ALWAYS bugga things up when a result is important!
We should have got three points at Spotland, but threw it away by not turning up for the second half.
I still predict 1-1 draw, which in all honesty won't be good enough...Wycombe once again got that all important equaliser in the last minute today, which has made life very difficult again.
Someone has predicted a narrow victory to Chesterfield, this is the result I fear most, cus then we really would be looking towards that trap door, but as Darth so elequently puts it, with gates of 3 or 4 thousand, our rightful place is indeed back in the Fourth Division...I hope it dow happen cus I would be unconsoleable at such a tragedy...... :(
UTS come on me babbies...we CAN do it!

I can't really seeing the attendance being much higher, TBH. Maybe a slight increase in Saddlers plus the usual 500 or so from Chesterfield but no more than that. 5,000? Not a chance - for the last home match last season when the 'stakes' were far higher than tomorrow we only managed 5,088.

Indeed, that's why, nowadays, we're a club with League Two support.
Can't even ***ing muster up 4,000 home fans on a regular basis ffs, it's absolutely shocking.

Don't be fooled fella, we have always been this way. Well I can't talk for the 60s or 70s, when I believe we used to get much better gates? However since the early 80s, 4k has been around average I'd say. If we were doing well they would go up to 6k. If you want an example of this, take a look at the gates from 98-99, up until we beat Stoke at Christmas.
I wish we had better support to, but we are Walsall.
The away support on the other hand, has definitely took a knock. Rochdale was yet another poor turnout

Rochdale was yes, I would've put money on that we'd have took 500+ there.
Blah, as you say, we are Walsall. fudge it.
