Come on me babbies just one goal will suffice I'm sure! :)
All of the bottom 3 are losing, bar Chesterfield. We're effectively 4 points from safety. Admittedly a goal'd be nice but I don't think we can complain too much about the way things are going today.

0-0 final score. We're in that situation again where before the 2 games, you'd have taken 4 points. But now, having beaten Sheff Utd on Tuesday, a 0-0 draw against Hartlepool is a little disappointing.

I said to myself 4 points from 6 would be good, but sounds as if today we dropped two points. 6 unbeaten though.
Gone down a place i think, but now 3 points clear.
We also have a vastly superior goal difference to any other team below us.

Not really, chester, as the attendance was only 3,751. Still we are now 6 unbeaten, and another clean sheet [in pint half full mode, obviously].

Couldn't make today so don't know how it compared to Tuesday. Three wins and three draws at this stage of the season is a good effort. However it is slightly disappointing that we haven't nicked it, especially as the OS indicated we had most of the play - three points would have put us five clear of the relegation zone, with a game in hand. And it would have only been one win off 13th place. Tricky trip to in-form Yeovil next up.

Drab affair pretty much sums it up.
Still, rather happy with 4 points from the two home games, 6 unbeaten also...

193 according to the Hartlepool OS. Not bad, that, as they have little to play for.

Re: Hartlepool United (H) League 1 Saturday 10/3/12.
I am absolutely seething after that - crap hoof it channel football rubbish.
We had areal chance to take the game to Hartlepool today and give us some breathing space with 3 points.
Why do we insist on launching it down the channels?
It summed it up at the start of the first half for me. I thought we would come out and look to get the ball down and play (because we look good when we do). We passed the ball to Beevers who launched it down the line to their goalkeeper. Pathetic football.
Flo didn't get on the ball til the last ten minutes - partly because he was completely out of the game as the defence just launched it forward. The madness of it all is that all of our strikers are weak and can't win headers! SO WHAT IS THE POINT?!
Really rubbish performance today - just glad we got a draw. We are going to need a lot more guile and finishing if we are to play like that to stay up.
Need a striker, and we need to stop HOOFing it.

fudge off did they bring that!
It was more about their shocking support anyways, about 5 only got up off their fat Northern arses when the team emerged from the tunnel.

I wouldn't have said there were more than 100 in that away end.

I feel quite encouraged after that performance. We didn't break them down but then again can someone remind me when we became Athetic Bilbao?

It was just a typical non-event fixture, you get 'em.
In other news Huddersfield Town drew 2-2 at home to Rochdale.

If people think that was a good performance - then that for me sums up the whole problem with English football. It's garbage! How hard is it to pass to someone and move?

Re: Hartlepool United (H) League 1 Saturday 10/3/12.
Can anyone explain why Will Grigg is still at the club and how he still manages to steal a place on the bench? This bloke is awful with an even worse footballing brain.
One of our best chances today (not many too choose from) was when he picked up a loose ball at the edge of the box, and from an almost impossible angle decides hes going to shoot, not only that but its on his weaker right (left not much better) foot. All he had to do was hold the ball up, have a look round and see Macken was free 20yrds out.
Im sure he spends more time picking himself up off the ground after tripping himself up all the time.
P.s A missed opportunity to get 3 points today, but fair play to 'Pool, it was almost the perfect defensive away performance with Grof producing a good block from a rare attack to keep it at 0-0, 1 point is better than none.

That would be true if their wasn't an organised professional football team of 11 players with an excellent away record trying to prevent the very same from happening.....

What? So we can't pass ball and move but we can launch it down the channel to strikers who can't win the ball in the air???
Hoof ball is woeful - really disappointed today. That isn't football.

Re: Hartlepool United (H) League 1 Saturday 10/3/12.
Thought that was an average performance, didnt help ourselves by launching the ball, but they played 4-5-1 with a deep sitting defender which didnt allow us to open the game up, get flo on the ball or really create anything along the floor. We then resorted to hoofing to strikers that can't win headers. Hartlepool were one of the worst and most cynical football teams i've seen for a very long time. 1 upfront, hoofball, lots of headers lots of launches to safety, 3 deep lying midfielders. They have nothing to play for FFS why didnt they just come and have a go. At least Yeovil and Wednesday wont sit deep in the next 2 games giving us a chance to create a bit more and utilise flo.
Butler was MOTM for me, Smith didnt win half as many headers as he did.
Mantom was anonymous and is lightweight, Cuvelier had a job done on him.
If i'd paid petrol costs and £20 to be entertained all the way from Hartlepool i'd be disgraced on the back of that performance.

You didnt go to Orient then? That performance would make 'Pool look like Barca.
