Excellent present of three points on my return from holiday - well happy, light at the end of the tunnel, and SO vital to have prevented Scunny from stretching away from us, which was the big worry IMHO.

Well done the lads tonight, delivering at last after so many false promises.

YES!!!

I am in a period of reflection regarding penile tattoos. I may consider some when the nasty little rash gives me a window of opportunity.

I was thinking about the face of Richard Taundry stretched along the shaft.

Driving home from work tonight ive had to endure listening to Chelski getting battered in the hope of hearing the odd brief mention of the mighty Saddlers ....... the tension was such that my nails are now firmly embedded in the steering wheel and I have lost my voice having sung me rocks off for 65 miles......

What a f**king great result fellas, back to back wins - tremendous boost for everyone. Sounds like Grof kept us in it towards the end and Flo is just different class :D

We are now just 2 point behind Exeter and Yeovil with a game in hand over Exeter and a much better goal difference over both clubs .
It's looking a lot better tonight .

Exeter travel to Huddersfield on Saturday Yeovil also on the road at Carlisle

Excellent result.
In the first half we looked really solid at the back & apart from one excellent save from David Grof we weren't really troubled. Up until the goal we did not seem to have much idea going forward , but Cuvelier took his chance really well ( a more difficult one than the one he missed right at the end).
A combination of stout defending, an excellent performance by David Grof & a helping hand from Lady Luck ( It was not easy to see but they did seem to miss several gilt edged chances). Thought Macken improved the forward line when he came on & would have liked to have seen Bowerman on for Grigg.
All in all a battling performance which if we can keep repeating in future games then we are capable of saving ourselves.

Oh & if Scunthorpe beat Orient 3-1 we ought to go to Brisbane Road with some confidence.

Just back. Over the moon with the result. An evenly matched first half with a well taken goal to give us the lead. They had a great chance to equalise right on halftime but the shot was blasted wide. Second half we defended constantly and not before time Macken was brought on and instantly made a difference, holding the ball up and finding a pass to relieve some pressure.
Not wanting to be critical when we have won but Grigg, Nicholls & Paterson were awol most of the time. Butler and Parkin came to blows on several occasions and both could have been sent off. Special mention to Taundry who was superb all match and Grof who apart from one dropped cross never put a foot wrong.
Paterson had a great chance for a second but shot(?) tamely at the keeper who was named man of the match.
