Did you not listen to the 'official' denial that our ground was NOT built from this blueprint....They may LOOK the same, use the same breeze blocks, the same stantions, the same seating arrangements, the same roof structure...no deffo nothing like each other....appart from our 'rip of' costing that is!!
I'll be there, hope to see a win at last, they play better away from home, so 1-0 from a Nicholls penalty again?

Didn't we have some muppet go to their new gaff and report back saying this is what we need, but with double the amount of pillars.
Nevertheless I think their grounds ace, tidy bit of home terracing with a low roof. Smart.

After the Notts County fiasco - 9-1. But this being Walsall we could sneak a draw or even a win to momentarily halt the inexorable slide into putrifaction.
Whatever, relegation awaits. :|

They've signed Jon Parking from Cardiff and invested in other players.
We'll get thumped 4-0 if the game is on

Very true.. This one will be called off Saturday early morning. Could be quite bad up there.

Who's looking forward to this one?
Me too!
See you there?
Great!
And if it's off due to the weather it's all back to mine for tea and home-made cakes in front of a roaring fire!

They'll have a completely new-look side playing us on Saturday. Let's just hope they take a few weeks to gel.
I'll go for a very optimistic 1-1 draw. Really can't see us getting three points, even if it's close to being a must-win.

Currently minus 7 in the area & about a cm of snow. Beautiful clear & cold. There were shots of Glanford Park with black plastic sheeting on the pitch on Look North last night. Local weather is now predicting snow will arrive later on Saturday ( late afternoon/evening) & that there may be quite a lot.

Sheeting? Pathetic! Why haven't they got state of the art over soil heating like us?

The only hope we have of not losing it to have the game called off!
If it goes ahead Scunthorpe will win 2-0.

Why's that? We'll no doubt lose the re-arranged fixture too.

Jeff to finally turn up to a game, to find it cancelled.
He'll single handedly thaw the pitch out with his permatan and whirring helicopter blades and be proclaimed as the saviour of Glanford Park - again.
Ishmel to sleep in until he realises he doesn't play for us anymore.
Walsall to have a shot on target - ever the optimist!

Re: Scunthorpe United (A) League 1 Saturday 4/2/11.
Just watched our local weather on BBC
Predicting temperatures of minus 6 or minus 7 in the area around Scunthorpe tonight. A cold dry morning, with heavy snow due to arrive 3-4ish ( though he did say there was a margin of an hour or so here).
So I would be surprised if it's not called off & if it does go ahead it could be pretty unpleasant by the second half!

The coldest predicted on met office is -2 overnight and +1 from 12 midday.
So a decent chance of it being on.
