Funny to think the 1-0 home league win went a long to saving us and relegating them. I was stood behind the goal that we got as Grigg curved it beyond the despairing left hand of their tubby keeper.

I thought they would bounce back - but it seems that they'm proper doomed.

Prediction - a hard fought game that we will begin to control and evetually get the one goal that we shall need to progress. 1-0.

Daggers to slip into non-league obscurity for all time.

Walsall 1 D & R 0. Bowerman late on, cruely dashing the visitors dreams and everyone's hopes of an extra 30 minutes in the cold.

Big Baz to turn up dressed as the Ghost Of Christmas Yet To Come, in a sparkly futuristic number that not even Gok Wan has seen yet :D

If we cor beat this lot at our place then we may as well give up on the season altogether, bottom of the Fourth Division, and something like eight league defeats on the trot aye it? God help the gates for the rest of our relegation season if D&G do pull it off, but can't see it happening myself, I'll go for a 1-0 win too, we are our leagues lowest goalscorers (which will go some way towards our eventual demise), so it wow be a goalfest, that's for sure!

Ive never seen such a one side 1-0 win as that. Ive also never seen one team gain control of the match as the gme went on as much as that, if we hadnt won, it would have been criminal. Also about the only contribution this "great young player" Grigg has ever made.

We will win 4-1. All own goals.

16 years ago today Walsall beat Torquay 8-4 in a 2nd round replay. A repeat of that score would be entertaining!

Pleased to see Benning given a squad number prior to tonight's game.

I appreciate that we need to win this game, but I'd play Benning, Paterson and Bowerman tonight. Let's face it, if they're completely lacking against the side who lie bottom of the football league then there's something wrong.

Think this could potentailly be one of the lowest gates at the Bescot tonight.

Christmas is very near, some will have gone to charlton and some will be saving their money for chesterfield.

On top of which, it's cold, very windy, and it's likely to be very unpleasant out there tonight. I forecast 1,800 earlier in the thread, but we may not even get that. I'm praying it's settled in normal time!

We beat Wellington Town 2-1 in the FA Cup in November 1899 in front of a crowd of 150. A few months earlier we had beaten Arsenal 2-0 in the league. And people moan that fans are fickle nowadays.

I'm pleased that I aye! it's gonna be bloomin nutcrackin bitterly cold to watch...one of the times you realise that being a pro footballer can have it's negative side! Hope they'm up for it, a bad result could have disasterous consequences, 'the Ginger one' could be at risk after such an event....... :?
