Tragic own-goal I presume? As Deano persists with Macken & Grigg combo up front, A partnership that would struggle to get goals in the W'ton Works league yet alone against Charlton!! :( :(

Walsall 4 - 1 Charlton
The addicks will be put to the sword by a positive display of precision football from the Saddlers. Walsall will take the lead from a Butler close range header before Charlton equalise through Wright Philips. Then Charlton will have a man sent off for a stupid challenge on a Saddler. Walsall, smelling blood, will then score through a deflected Nicholl's shot. Then in the last 5 minutes as Charlton push forward for a leveller, sub Bowerman will score twice as they leave themselves exposed.
YEAH!

It would be typically Walsall to win this one before getting thumped at Chesterfield the following week.

I have to say, as daft as it sounds...........I kinda of agree with Derby and feel that another Preston display is on the cards.
I might not be as a bullish about the scoreline, but think we will be a goal to the good against the East Londoners where we will wind the clocks back and put in a performance of the kind that saw us put one over on them as we did at Selhurst Park back in the 80's (....was a cup game) :D

We'll lose this one 2-0.
We're just not good enough at home to beat anyone with anything about them.

Realistically, Charlton will storm this game, however everybod expects them to!
Complacencey (sp??) on their part may set in, do we have the ability to capitalize on that ? No, unless Nicholls goes up top with Macken.
We need to go for it so my team would be;
Walker
Beevers Butler Smith Sadler
Paterson Peterlin Chambers Halliday
Macken Nicholls

I'd be tempted to shove Gnakpa up front tomorrow. Let's face it, they'll beat us if we play to their strengths so we might as well have a physical presence up front.
IF we can get crosses into the box, their centre halves won't enjoy defending against Gnakpa.

I really wish i didnt follow WFC players on twitter, sometimes their attitude is irritating. I guess we are all human.
I change my prediction to a 5-1 defeat.

Interesting formation.
Seriously though, anything other than a defeat will be a result.

I'd put the word "heavy" in there......
Anything other than a heavy defeat would be a result (with due deference to Pinnacle's sensitivities.......)
...and with thirty minutes played, it's still 0-0. We had our first shot after 41 seconds!!!
