Dagenham & Redbridge (A) F A Cup Rd 2 Saturday 3/12/11.
The Daggers like ourselves needed a replay and extra time to reach this stage , They are struggling in League 2 sitting 23rd in the table on 13 points from 19 played .
Full home record
won 2 - drew 1- lost 7 - goals for 11- against 20
All of that means nothing off course this is the FA Cup anything could happen.
Prediction
1-2 away win , Macken and Chambers on target.

The Daggers are a very poor side. If we don't beat this lot then we might as well give up.

For the second week in a row I predict a Walsall win, 2-1 this time with us 2 ahead and conceding a late one to make the final stages interesting and a bit heart-stopping.
Listen to me - Walsall - heart-stopping - who'd ever have thought it! :)
Round 3 here we come methinks, and it's as well-overdue as it will be welcome.

Daggers 1 - 4 Super Saddlers
Att: 3,506 (650 Saddlers)
We've got too much class for the plucky Daggers, I expect a closely fought first half hour but the class should tell when we get the opening goal.

All seven goals will be scored in the second half, Walker to be found guilty of time wasting whilst picking the ball out of his net, and sent off. Nicholls hat trick brings the scores level at 2-2. A dubious penalty claim by the Daggers Chaiman, results in a brown paper package being stuffed into the refs mattress at half time...Beevers saves the resulting penalty with his bum and retires from football to become a polititical analyst at The University of Beechdale. Smith hails the good 2-2 win as 'astounding', all seven goals don't appear on ITV.com/sport. The crucial single goal, resulting from a freak overhead kick
from Macken, is missed by the ITV cameraman, who was smoking pot to aleviate the boredom. :?

I think we have more chance of winning at their place than I do if we were at home.
2-1 to us.
2-1 to us.

They'll be up for it after missing out last year. However, they'm a pile of shrooms at the moment and I predict a 3-2 win for the lads!

Re: Dagenham & Redbridge (A) F A Cup Rd 2 Saturday 3/12/11.
Seeking some advice re Saturday from anyone who went to Dagenham last year or who lives in that neck of the woods. Here's the quandary, I've only got 2 hours to get from South Oxford to the match because of a prior commitment on Saturday morning.
I was talking to a Wycombe fan on Friday night and he thinks that doesn't give me enough time to negotiate the east London traffic once I'm off the M25.
What d'ya reckon?

Re: Dagenham & Redbridge (A) F A Cup Rd 2 Saturday 3/12/11.
It worries me when a significant number of contributors to this board are confident of winning against supposedly weaker opposition. Yes, the Daggers are in a lower division than we are, and Yes, their home form is nothing to shout about, but let's try to be objective about this.
Our form (home and away) is likewise nothing to write home about, and our performances in any knock-out situation have been wayward for the past few years. Set all that against the scenario that Dean Smith doesn't seem to have settled on a first-choice team even now. Whilst injuries and suspensions have played their part, some of the player selections do seem to verge on the bizarre.
Although I'd love to be proved wrong when we come away 1-4 winners, I think this will be another Exeter City - 1-1 at the death, and us to squeak home 1-0 back 'um.
I'm very tempted to start a thread "Which team to we want to meet in round 3", but far too many years as a Walsall supporter tell me to keep my powder dry

Daggers 2 - 2 Worsul
Old fashioned cup tie, inept defending, cracking goals, bad language and pies.
Yams to score first through Nicholls, before Daggers score two in quick succession. Last 10 minutes of the game, Bowerman to score a stunning volley to gain a replay at Estadio Bezla.

I'd take a draw, but that outcome wouldn't be ideal for our threadbare squad. It's as winnable a game as we'll have between now and May.

It's ok, 4143, it's Exile's theme for this morning :D
By the way, the words "heir" and "heiress", for example, are preceded by "an", although in a Black Country accent, the "h"s are dropped with regularity!

Daggers 1-1 Walsall, (1-2 AET) in front of 300 travelling Saddlers fans, reducing to 299 after Priestley is ejected from the ground for his Jeremy Clarkson impersonation, shouting that all the stewards should be executed.
