Re: Stevenage (A) League 1 Saturday 26/11/11.
Yet another 'defeat' and possibly bottom of the League at the end of the day toboot....isn't this scenario looking a bit familiar?
Perhaps we can hire ourselves another new manager who will miraculously save us from relegation by one point, only to repeat this disasterous fall into the relegation trap door the following season...'Groundhog day' anyone?
No, this time we will have to admit we are utter crud, drop into the 4th Division, where we belong, and rebuild.

We'll win 1-0
We play better away.
Stevenage's football style (or lack of it) will suit us.
We will be concentrating on the league after our FA Cup exit.
It's a new ground for us
They might sell chips

Stevenage 1-2 Walsall. (Nicholls, Bowerman). Graham Westley to spontaneously combust.

All indicators are for a fairly easy win for Stevenage. Strangely though, and I have no idea why or where this has come from, but I've got a feeling for a narrow victory to us, and I ain't had that feeling for quite a while.

There don't tend to be many goals scored in the games Stevenage are involved in so I can't see it being much of a spectacle for those making the journey down.
1-1. Bowerman with our goal.

Not sure on the result but im pretty confident it will be an atmosphere that people will talk about for a good while and compare to the good old days, wish i was there but 50 pound day out kind of defeats the object of saving up :(

Re: Stevenage (A) League 1 Saturday 26/11/11.
Starting line-up for today's game:
Walker
Sadler
Lancashire
Beevers
Taundry
Smith
Chambers
Wilson
Grigg
Macken
Nicholls
Subs: Grof, Peterlin, Halliday, Jaris, Bowerman
So, no Andy Butler - and what does Bowerman have to do to get 90 minutes? And why sign someone on loan only to put them on the bench? :?

From the early kick-off, Chesterfield have gone a goal down after 82 minutes, so our current League position doesn't appear to be under threat (yet)

No Gnakpa either. Be surprised if we didn't play 442 with that line up. Wasn't at cup game so can't tell if it as 433 then or not. I guess if Halliday hasn't really trained with us yet (signs on Thurs and they may well have travelled down Friday (?)) then a place on the bench to start this particular game makes sense.

According to the Excuse & Star, Halliday had a run-out with the reserves this week with no questions asked about fitness or injuries :?

Slightly odd decision then. Maybe he is viewed as an 'impact' player!!
