I expect a rugby score for one team and a big fat zero for the other.

Preston North End (H) League 1 Saturday 15/10/11.

Sat Oct 08, 2011 5:43 pm

As our best performance of the season came against the only Top Six team we've played so far I'm going to stick my neck out and say that we'll win this one comfortably. Liberated from the weight of expectation that hangs heavily over the team at The Bonks's, I'll go for 3-0: Nicholls hat-trick. Jeff Bonser to announce in the programme that he's sold the club to a consortium fronted by Ray Graydon, Louise Mensch and the Sultan of Brunei.

If Evo's not announced as new social secretary then I'm not interested.

I saw Preston lose at Leyton Orient last week, and deservedly so. They are physically very strong but were beaten by a side with a modicum of midfield nouse.

However, I'll take a point now.

1-1 in front of 4,747, including 1,497 PNE.

Can I have some of what you are 'on' Bangsection? I'm only 20 minutes away, AND i won £2.80 on the Euromillions so I've plenty of 'ready cash' to do a deal!
The first 18 words are believable though...AND the Sultan was seen in the car park this morning, with Alan Buckley at his side! :D

It's the North Yorkshire water, AM. Much better than that muck you get in West Yorks! I'll bring some to Huddersfield and before you know it you'll be backing us for the play offs and having Ryan Jarvis's face tattooed on your back.

Whilst I share the concerns of all........... I am always the eternal optimist, glass half full rather than half empty type of guy................ and besides I can never bring myself to predict a Saddlers defeat.

I believe a goal-fest will be in store for us on Saturday; Walsall 3 Preston 2 :D :D :D :D :D :D

Could I ask the reason why people are predicting a Walsall win?
Stand back and look at what you are saying.
Walsall 1 Preston 5.

Maybe it's because they are Walsall SUPPORTERS?

You're also a bit optimistic, Sheff:

Walsall 0 Preston 5.

Three games unbeaten and I can sense the tide is turning. Preston are a good side and it will be a tough game but there's no reason why the Super Saddlers can't pick up 3 points against on of League Ones powerhouses and I back them to do just that in front of a bumper Bescot audience.

Walsall 1 - O PNE

Walsall 4 - 2 Preston

Having scored on Tuesday, Nicholl's will embark on a rich vein of goalscoring form which will result in him slamming in 2 goals on Saturday, Grigg and Butler with the Saddler's other goals. We'll also hit the woodwork 3 times and Preston will finish the game in absolute shell shock from the fast pressing football played against them by a rampant Saddler side.

Im with ya Derby Saddler.......... all the way pal!!

......... and if we go down on the day, theres always next saturday!! Through thick and thin, for better or worse WE'LL SUPPORT YOU EVER MORE, WE'LL........ SUPPORT YOU........ EVER MORE!!!!!!!!!

Maybe we should rent a pissed up Delia Smith for some pre-match encouragement - Lets give the lads that extra 12th man and send them back up the M6 with no points.

Forget the off-field politics or budgetry restraints, come 3pm on Saturday all of that quite frankly becomes totally irrelevant as its those 11 players that take the field that are wearing the badge - lets make them feel like the pride of the Midlands!!

Its time we reclaimed our club and for all to return to their rightful place on the terraces.........

Preston won't have that many there. Apparently we have given them 1,500 tickets with no pay on the day. God knows why  .

Sums up my feelings exactly, just imagine if we all had this mentality and roared the boys on for 90 minutes, would be amazing and we could turn Bescot into a fortress.

This will be the first time Clarke Carlisle has played against Walsall since he beat me on Countdown in February last year. With that in mind, I'm going for us to win 1-0 and him to score an own goal
