That's probably the team I'd have picked, although may have had Paterson in for Hurst. Glad he hasn't found some excuse to shoe-horn Taundry back into the side.

That's our secret plan B, the question mark formation.

We dont. We have an ex striker turned winger, a young striker who plays out wide, and a right back who got converted to the wing because he can head.

If you count Taundry, a failed right back turned right/centre midfielder.

0-0 after half an hour...... elsewhere, James Constable scores for Oxford, as does Matt Richards for Shrewsbury (but don't tell Phil!!)

Manny Smith is preferred by Smith, presumably because he is better than Lancashire in the air.

It is not his feet, but his heading that has been found lacking. If our opponents have some tall forwards then Dean Smith seems to prefer to have Manny Smith as Butler's partner. I am guessing that this is true for Wycombe. While Lancashire is better than Manny at making long passes, since we have Grigg and Jarvis up front, and they rarely make any use of long passes, this advantage is less important.

The bench does seem to be a bit unbalanced with three players who have usually been played at Walsall as right wingers.

Wycombe Wanderers (A) League 1 Saturday 8/10/11.

Precious little attacking threat from Walsall with the 38-year old Ainsworth the best player on the pitch according to texts I've had from people at the game. Big 45 minutes ahead.

If only someone had mentioned this 15-year old on the front page preview.

We are now above the relegation line solely because of a better goal difference than Bournemouth's.....

......update.... Bournemouth have equalised, so we are now IN the relegation zone

Not quite as bad as that foursome the other week of Bowerman, Paterson, Nicholls & Grigg now ther's a strike force to send shivers down the spine any defence....say in the West Yorkshire Heavy Woollen Gate Sunday League?

1-0 down to Wycombe, this HAS to rate as our lowest point in the pit of hell that has been our last two seasons of misery!! :( :(

We've had 5 corners and we've done f00k all with 'em! Shocking set of players, Fifa 12 doesn't lie.

Nicholls just come on also.
