Wanderers are one of the few teams who sit below us in the table ,in 22nd place 8 points from 11 played

Last 6 league games.

Brentford - home - lost 0-1

The kind of game and the kind of opposition that we always think will end a bad run. But this is our Walsall, so we know it rarely happens. We're far more likely to help THEM out than ourselves.

Sadly, I expect Wycombe 2 Walsall 1, after we've scored first, AGAIN!

1 - 1 draw. 675 Saddlers to make the journey down there ...... only 75 to bother to leave The White 'Oss to watch the game.

A couple of lads I used to teach are mascots for the game (their dad is from Wycombe) so I shall be attending on complimentary tickets. Hopefully I'll witness a flawless 2-0 win to the saddlers, but will most likely witness a drab draw.

An ignominious 2-0 defeat.

But I live in hope.

The last time i went to Wycombe, I think I witnessed one of the worst 45 minutes of my entire 34 years of supporting the club........ 2-0 down at half time and we looked dead and buried.

Second half we found some boll*cks and we hit them for 3 and bagged the points.......

To be fair a 1-0 will suffice given where we are at present - see you on the terraces at Adams Park

Not sure if I'll be make this one until lunchtime on Saturday.

A match we should be winning but I don't expect us too. I'll be an optimist and say we'll sneak it 1-0 with a Jarvis goal.

Keep the side we finished with last night (without Taundry though) and we may scramble a 1-1 draw, which to us is a 'win'
Please don't let us get a penalty, cus weem cak at 'em!

Still dont think Deano knows his best side or formation yet....... to be fair suspensions and injuries havnt helped on a pretty thread bare squad.

My views aint changed from the Colchester game - and we desparately need 3-4 players in key positions and it seems we are destined once again for the loan market .......... have to say had we kept hold of Ledesma, Gray and Richards i think we would be a completely different proposition and would be flirting between mid-table and play-offs - alas it was not to be.

Saturday has arrived once again and Wycombe is an early season 6 pointer and we need to get behind the lads and give'em a lift........ as much as its for them to put in a performance, we need to put in one on the terraces!! :)

Deano, we need to play a formation that plays to the players strengths and adds some attacking flair, width and pace whilst making sure we are solid at the back.

My Team for Saturday would be; 4-1-3-1-1

.........................................................Gnakpa.......................................................

...................................................................Paterson...............................................

..............................Hurst.................... Nicholls................. Taundry............................

.......................................................Chambers......................................................

................Sadler.................... Butler.................... Smith ...................Westlake............

........................................................Walker.........................................................

Subs: Grof, Lancashire, Grigg, Peterlin, Jarvis

This formation would give the back 4 some protection with Chambers in front in an anchor role that can sweep defensively if balls are palyed in behind, as we are so square on occassions and slow on the turn and equally he can support the midfield play where he can hold in the middle to release Nicholls offensively or allow Hurst, Sadler or Westlake to over-lap and provide some width. Equally Gnakpa in my view can play up-front and has both strength and pace and can peel off in to space, hold the ball up and link up play. The formation requires some discipline and would provide some much needed steel in the spine of the team.

Id stick Gnakpa in up front, useless out wide. Give him balls in behind to chase would be his best bet.

Never liked visiting Adams Park. One year the clutch went on the mini-bus, and another year I had to endure watching Rambo score the winner for them, and he preceded to jump into a pile of snow to rub our noses in it!

If you look at Wycombes home form it is not as bad as you may believe.
They have for a start beaten Sheffield United at home.
And then lost by the odd goal to Preston and Brentford, both top 10 teams.
Added to that, they have scored in 7 of the 9 home matches they have played in, so unless you are suggesting Walsall will possibly score at least 2 goals to win, then a defeat is on the horizon.
I fear the worst.
Wycombe 2 Walsall 0.

Nicholls in the middle of midfield - I've seen it all now!

For me, Martin has to play. He was the only one who looked like creating any kind of spark on Tuesday. Frankly, he threatened more in 25 minutes than anyone else has for two or three games.

Agreed, Martin must play, I for one was VERY impressed on Tuesday, and Jarvis produced a 'spark' to the team as soon as he came on, so must be given another chance, Gnakpa up front is OK by me, lets see what he can do! Use your strength, your a big lad..frighten some defenders, and please, no more 'dying swan' routines, refs can see that your big enough for 'em to bounce off you! :)

Wycombe 4-0 Walsall

Picture a man, going on a journey beyond sight and sound... Brackey enters a time warp and witnesses the worst 45 minutes of his life again. The timewarp loops for the second half so there's no miracle escape.

It's amazing how quickly Smith has turned the season around for us fans. Less than 6 weeks ago I returned from my summer break dribbling with child like optimism at a revitalised and reinvented Walsall team.

Oh dear, I have already abandoned todays trip in favour of re-arranging the leaves on my lawn, installing my new television and having lunch with my wife. What awaits me this afternoon when the team take the pitch?

I look forward to reports of a miracle.

......today is the day that Deans Smith's travelling army dance on the terraces.......SADDLERS! SADDLERS! SADDLERS!

With some wycombe fans, scores seem to range from 4-0 to them to a 2-2 draw, I've assured them its unlikely we'll score twice!
