Re: Carlisle United (H) League 1 Saturday 1/10/11.
I'll go with Walsall 1 Carlisle 2, we've acquired the habit of losing - AGAIN! I don't see where a crowd of 3,499 is coming from though, I'll knock 350 off that and guess 3,149, and that's me being optimistic.
Sadly IMHO it'll be bottom 3 next week, 'cos it seeems we don't have a clue right now and we desperately need changes. I just wonder where our players have disappeared to since that great display at Sheff U that ended in an undeserved 3-2 defeat. Can this really be the same team that's struggled and performed so badly in EVERY game since then? :?

Walsall 2 Carlisle 1
Scunthorpe type performance all over again, undeserved, but three points nevertheless, and boy do we need them!
3,218 gate, Macken and Jarvis to score against the run of play throughout.

Walsall 1 point from 15, Carlise away record of won 3 drawn 1 lost 1.
And people actually put down a Walsall victory!
Well, we will win if all 11 Carlise players decide to go on a Friday night pee up and get in 6am Saturday morning.
Walsall 0 Carlise 3.
Dean Smith keeps the players in at end and tells them he thought he had told them to play for 90 minutes.

WE HAVE to stay optimistic Sheff, after all, we COULD win a match one day!
and please, ALL Walsall players know that a footy match only lasts 45 minutes! (or in some cases, 10 minutes at the end of a match that we are losing, made all the more difficult when the 'manager' decides to take off the last front man, and replace him with another defender in order to 'consolidate' the defeat!) Aren't we all lucky being Walsall fans folks!

Don't start on that one, AM. You'll be raising everyone's expectations a bit too high, and you know what it's like on here when it all ends in disappointment! :)

I really want to predict a win but I just can't see us a) scoring or b) keeping a clean sheet. This is not a good combination.
Walsall 0-1 Carlisle, 3,210 in attendance with 345 Cumbrians

I thought the same. I can only conclude that Big Baz has broken (or more likely worn out) the "7" key on his keyboard! :)

Another desperate home draw, 1-1, in front of 3,855 [554 away].

3,855 ????? I don't think there's a hope in hell of a crowd that size, nearer 3,100 - 3,200 IMHO.
If we get 3,855 or more, I think I'll donate £20 to your favourite charity, or the Air Ambulance.

It would be 3,100-3,200 without any away fans, gw. However, even in their current form I expect Carlisle to bring 600+ so I don't expect to be far off.
Lets wait and see

Right, the bet is drawn up. Attendance of 3855 or more, Geoff gives £20 to favourite charity of BS.

Walsall 2 - 1 Carlisle
Taundry to unleash a shot so powerful that it rips a hole through the time/space continuum that sucks through Exile and Saigon Saddler from the other side of the world and neatly deposits them on the pitch, just in time for debate about climate change.

2 - 0 defeat I'm afraid.
Priestley Saddler to refuse to leave the pitch at half time after doing a spot of sunbathing in his speedos.

It'll be closer to 3.8K, Carlisle will bring a 500 or so and the weathers gonna be nice, which seems to attract a few more fans.
3,100-3,200 would be absolutely appalling even with our position and performances....

But much closer to reality, given the appathy of our 'supporters' that we have debated about recently, coupled with good weather being a goad to wives/girlfriends wanting a day out in the sun that does not include an afternoon at the Bezza! :(
