Up nice and early with the smell of last nights looting in the air - Oops...forgot it was bonfires wasn't it? Anyway, I'm slipping into work for a few hours later on, then it's a drink or two in Leeds centre before catching the train over to Hudders about 1.30pm. It only takes about 20minutes so there'll be a little more time for some more singing juice when I get there. We'll be just over the other side of the tarpaulin in the Pink Link Stand this afternoon, so I'm sure you'll be able to hear our attempts to lift the mood.

Just so you can sing along/join in maybe, here's a couple of the usual ditties!

(To the tune Anarchy in the UK - Sex Pistols)

I am an Hudders fan
And I am a Yorkshire Man
I know what I want
And I know how to get it
I wanna destroy Bradford and Leeds
Cos I...wanna be...HTFC.

Smile a while (traditional Song Unique to Huddersfield Town)

There's a team that's dear to it's followers,
Their colours are bright blue and white,
They're a team of renown, they're the pride of the town,
And the game of football is their delight.

All the while upon the field of play,
Thousands loudly cheer them on their way,
Often you could hear them say,
Who can beat the Town today?

Then the bells will ring so merrily
Every goal will be a memory
So Town play up and bring the Cup
Back to Huddersfield...
Huddersfield...Huddersfield...Huddersfield...

Have a safe journey and Great(ish) Day

Dean Smith says

"Tough, tough game for us, they've got a lot of goals in their team, they've got lots of good players.

"They've got a massive budget as well, but they're getting results and 41 league games unbeaten is a massive credit to all of them, the management team and the players.

"But it's a challenge for our players and I think they'll be ready for it, they'll be up for it and looking to put things right that they think they've been wronged with over the last few weeks."

Sounds like you mean business!

Our Chairman/Owner Dean Hoyle says.

"To me, this weekend's game encapsulates League 1 perfectly. Outsiders may look at it on paper and believe that it is a home banker, especially given that Walsall had their manager and goalkeeper sent off last Saturday, but we all know that it never pans out that way at this level - in fact this is when teams are often most dangerous.

"Walsall were well placed last season at one point before suffering a dip and recovering; a battling, never-say-die attitude will still run through their team. They have an excellent defensive record this term and we need total backing from the fans this weekend; they need to stay patient and keep behind the team to help us get the result we need."

All I want, is that we keep the score down to a decent embarrassment, 0-3 will be acceptable, cus we all know this will be like David v's barcelona on a good day. I have to face the laughter of my colleagues on Monday morning, should it get up to a Brighton 0-8 type of score! Still I'll be there, screamin my bloomin 'ed off for our lot to get past the half way line occassionaly. You never know, lets hope for a Bramhall Lane type performance eh? The home supporters are well reknown for getting on thier players backs if things ain't goin thier way totally.

Come on me Babbies UTS!!!

Anyone that laughs at someone who supports a third division football club from 100 miles away is a clown and understands nothing about football

I would presume Taundry is on the wing and Manny in the centre of defence.

No idea why original was locked. Can't see an obvious reason for it. Sorry mods if there was. :?

I would agree, I was just posting the names in the order declared by the BBC website!! After seeing reports of the debacle against Hednesford I'm just praying that Grof doesn't "do a Jimmy" and expose our youth team keeper to Huddersfield, who appear to be scoring for fun. :?

451 I reckon , with Nicholls and Gnapka on the wings - but anything is possible.

So the ginger Mourinho thinks we need a gk on the bench! Having seen Maher perform against Hednesford, Beevers is much the better option. Cannot understand how the manager sees fit to put a youth team gk on bench today, but not use the reserve gk last Saturday.

After five minutes, the writing's on the wall..... Grof's made his first save, and Walsall are now in the bottom four because Chesterfield have taken the lead against Yeovil. :(

...sorry, we're not QUITE in the drop zone - Chesterfield are level on points with us. The Terriers have had two corners in the first six minutes.....
