Just left Plymouth. Only 7 goals last season but had a very good record previously in league two 31 in 83 appearences overall.

Still only 27, you forget how young he was when on loan here in what was a terrible team under Hutchings.

Blimey... No thanks...

Certainly does know how to hit the back of the net, though Plymouth's topsy turvy season would not have helped his confidence.
I think Liam Dickinson would be our saviour!

I would and said so before. Scored lots of goals in previous seasons but the last one was hampered by injury. If fit think he would be a great addition to the squad.

Whitney talking to Ledesma and Hiwula but not overly hopeful of signing them. What a tease!

Is than an either/or? Both would be tremendous although Bradshaw leaving would probably have to pay for them.

Ledesma probably off abroad so Whitney doesn't hold much hope on him. Hiwula is someone he is still working on.

Hope we do not get Hiwula, showed nothing last season plus taking into account what Huddersfield would want for him and the wages he would want I'd rather used our budget more astutely.

We will probably sign him if Bradshaw leaves. Best deal would be Bradshaw to Huddersfield for 800,000 plus Jordi

I know Jordy didn't set the world on fire in his second loan spell but there's certainly a talent forward there who I think at a settled club could get 10-15.

Not sure I'd be fancying him to be lead forward though so I'd be looking for another forward if/when Bradshaw goes. Cook hasn't been replaced yet after all...

Would that mean Shrewsbury would own Jordi's left foot?

I would hate to see Bradshaw leave because 20-goal-strikers do not come along very often; however, if we are going to go down the attacking fullbacks path next season (with potentially Dobson sitting within a back three), we have to play two up top. Oztemur is likely to play at a faster tempo than Romaine and although the team seem very small, the brand of football promises to be very easy on the eye...

Assuming that Bradshaw went for good money this summer, I would like to see the club going for both Hiwula and Levante Cole. They played together at Man City Youth Academy and could strike up an interesting partnership again if we are to play the attacking brand of football that Whitney is promising.

I am slightly concerned that MK Dons might be thinking along similar lines but we probably have to face the fact that Bradshaw is unlikely to sign another contract with WFC while we remain in League One. Does he stick or twist? Ironically, the reason Cuvelier joined Walsall (Whitney's physiotherapy skills) counts heavily in our favour with Super Tom too...

To reiterate, I would love to see Bradshaw stay but if we were to cash in, Hiwula and Cole could work like Andy Watson and Roger Boli (both of whom would get in the current checkerboard team if they were still in their 20s)

Brown says his preference is to stay down south so lets hope we push the boat out to get him! Offer him Forde and Cook's luxury apartment on his own :D

Wouldn't say he's marquee at all, more of a journeyman player at this level.

He's played for Chesterfield and Cov so moving back here shouldn't be an issue.

Wide player isn't he?

I'd say he is a marquee signing considering he scored 14 goals from the wing for Coventry a couple seasons ago.

Westcarr scored 14 a few years back and was rewarded by a clean sweep of POTY awards...oh hang on cries of lazy barstard on here.

Tbf looking at his wiki I'm probably judging it on his lack of impact at championship level for Charlton and Leicester, he did well at Chesterfield on loan and also Cov as you say Johnny.

Another who appears to have suffered from injuries lately.

Westcarr played up front whilst we had no-one else in that team who could come close to scoring a goal

That article sounds very positive indeed. It is not often one reads that there are lots of players that want to sign for Walsall :D

Ryan Flynn would be a brilliant signing! At Brammall Lane last season, he and Matty Done did us untold damage down the flanks.

We look like having a very small side: I remember when Walsall (under Coakley) ran out to 'High ho! It's off to work we go!' and it's looking that way next season. Still, Barcelona aren't a team of giants and they seem to be doing okay...

I do worry whether Whitney is trying to do too much too quickly because there seems to be a huge amount of upheaval this pre-season. I don't mind losing Cook, Downing and even Mantom; it's a shame about Forde, Demetriou and Sawyers because we offered the best that we could afford to keep them. I liked Milan but he's a mercenary and will end up like Westcarr probably...

What excites me is the quality of players being linked. The Vaz Te link made me smile but Moussa and Flynn would be extremely welcome additions.

Totally agree about Baxter being a tool though - I'd rather have Otzemur all day long.

Still think we should make a cheeky phone call to Peter Crouch though... ;-)
