JW has said there will be 2 signings and I believe him ...why should he say that if it isn't true? Just be patient....there are many other clubs in the same position.

It's the same every season. PL season starts later, so make signings later, especially after a major tournament when players aren't available. They then decide who they want to loan out or sell, then it goes down the chain to Championship clubs and then leagues one and two.
We've done a lot of business, with more to come.

Probably knows that next year he will be playing in the Championship along with all the Bolton lads!
Lets hope that the Blades don't let me down again this year though, lost me a bloomin fortune they did, Wigan kept their part of the bargain, as will Bolton this year. Keep plugging away with a pre season flutter....one day I might get back to Florida again thanks to Betfred!
Think the Osbourne signature will count towards JW's 'two more signings', but we most certainly need more fire power up front if we are to improve on mid table mediocrity in the first season of the JW squad.

Kane Hemmings gone to Oxford.
They remind me of Burton a bit, think they'll be play offs as a minimum.

Josh Ginnelly on loan.
Never heard of him but he's a rapid winger, exactly what we need.

Cyprus press release. Andrea's Makris on his way to Walsall for medical. Striker from Onorthosis Cyprus. Fee of around €200000.
Should have bid before the EU referendum it would have been slightly cheaper

Re: Transfer Rumours 2016/2017
I had to check the date to ensure that it wasn't April 1st.
His club want at least £250K Sterling (at current exchange rate) and we are reported to have offered half that sum.
Interesting.

Re: Transfer Rumours 2016/2017
The website anorthosis24.net states "In Walsall Makris officially" and goes on to say that he is flying to the UK today for medical tests. "With his talent and commitment to hard work, he managed to achieve the transfer of abroad. We would omission not to thank Walsall on co-operation in the completion of the transfer".
He has been at Anorthosis since 2013, when they paid Paphos £17,000 (probably a translation from 20,000 euros) and gave him a five year contract, hence the need to splash the cash. According to one of the international transfer websites he is valued at £425,000.
"Well" as my stepfather used to say "I'll go to the foot of our stairs".
(Edit: Makris has 10 international appearances for Cyprus to his credit, and he must therefore be on at least speaking terms with Jason Demetriou......I wonder whether the Demetriou connection played any part in establishing Walsall's credentials?) :?

Too late, have just seen the news, is everybody certain this isn't 1st April?
Lets hope for another 'Jorge' Eh?
I've just gone into a darkened room, in the hope that my pills and the calm rest will mean that I will survive the shock!!
It seems totally obvious that Whit's wanted his 'own' players, very few of those that were assembled by Deano, (that let everybody down at the end), were deemed acceptable for 'his' squad. Don't mind as long as someone has a quiet word in Etheridge's ear...to GET RID OF THE BLOOMIN BALL MAN!!!!

Alan Buckley £175,000: Walsall Record 1979
Trevor Francis £1,000,000: English Record 1979 (17.5%)
Andreas Makris £300,000
Gareth Bale £83,000,000 (0.36%)
£83 million x 17.5% = £14,525,000
Got to love that Sky League

Ousmane Fane has left Kidderminster Harriers and signed for Oldham Athletic for 50k plus add ons. We had been linked with him earlier in the summer. Could be a steal if he's as good as some reviews I've seen about him.

Saw him in a friendly for Harriers a few weeks ago, at Stratford Town. Only one game, I know, but he didn't catch the eye any more than James McQuilken, and didn't influence the game as much as Jordan Murphy, playing in a withdrawn role. I'd have to watch him again.

Jay Emmanuel-Thomas has gone on loan to Gillingham for the season. Him, McDonald and Dack ain't a bad combo.

either Gillingham wouldn't sell on the cheap  or there is more than meets the eye to him. or they wouldn't sell at any price because they are serious about another promotion push :|SoccerHQ wrote:Can't believe Dack is still at Gillingham.
