Ibrahimovic available on a free, would be worth a go I think

But in all seriousness this is one of the most entertaining parts of any season. This season looks likely to be one of our more interesting pre seasons

I do love pre season especially one filled with a tournament

Walsall linked to Paderhorn midfielder Felix Von Sauswanger. He's looking to establish himself in English football for family reasons (his uncle is from Rugeley). Technically proficient on the ball but definitely not lazy looking.

Defensive midfielder Fritz Wurstesser could add some much-needed meat to the team. Came through the ranks at Bangor.

Someone mentioned Akinfenwa on another thread. He's a bit of a porker.

Had a good defensive partnership with the young Irish midfielder Chip O'Larter.

Not to disappointed in that. He went missing for most part of our season. I am sure there is a good 9 goal a season tough tackling midfielder out there that could do a better job

E&S put out a list of 5 midfielders who we could go in for at some point.

Oscar Gobern, Josh Wright, Ousmane Fane, Florent Cuvelier and Emmanuel Ledesma.

I'd take all of them.

Really? Are we thinking of the same Sam Mantom?

Not sure on Fane or Gobern but Josh Wright was one of Gillingham's best players, Ledesma plays in a different position but was quality for us in both spells, and if you take the injuries from Cuvelier then he would be in the Championship week in week out.

Are you 'sure' on this? Went on walkabout for great swathes of the second half of the season, was almost invisible at Bradford, and had started to make Sawyers look like a vicious thug in the tackles ratio. Apart from serving up a couple of
of goals, as a midfield influence he had faded badly towards the end of the season, and was not the automatic choice in the line up's that he had once been.

Where are Wakefield & Osbourne?

Mantom was easily replaced, Evans was miles better.

Another 12 month loan would be ideal for attack minded midfielder

I grant you JOHNNY that Wright is useful but he doesn't score goals!! I find it odd that so many of you think a goalscoring midfielder will be easy to find...well name me some who we can afford! As for AM all players have bad games from time to time especially at our level but ,of course,i forgot you know more than our Manager and indeed the Managers of the clubs seeking his signature. As for the others Cuvelier and Gobourne are injury prone, the lad from Kiddy is untested . In fact the only one I would consider is Ledesma but he would be a replacement for Sawyers rather than Mantom.

There should be money available, with player's leaving that will free up sections of the wage bill plus we operate a small playing squad anyway, so lets drop the wailing about not been able to afford anyone please, its inaccurate and just encourages the bizarre belief that we should never expect to be able to sign some decent players.

If Mantom's off then so be it, can't stop him. I would prefer him to stay but maybe a change will be good for him and us, same as Romaine leaving.

I ve heard Wright is available on a gluten free transfer. Not officially- I think it was a leek.

Another leek is that we're after Jose Baxter - I heard that from Chris Marsh when I met him on holiday in Cumberland.

Marsh and Baxter eh? (One for the old uns!)

I know we're trying to making both ends meat, but we should definitely steer clear of the part Chinese part Cameroon , Li Ndamc-Cartney,

No meat all at on him. Rumour has it that he was only in the team thanks to a very rich relative. It's even been suggested that during some live games his boots weren't even laced up and he simulated for the whole 90 mins. If his agent comes knocking, don't let him in.

Baxter agreed a 6 month rolling contract with Oldham apparently..I would have gone in for him, but if Mat Sadlers comments are anything to go by its no suprise we cant compete

Theo Robinson, Gobern and Ledesma I would like to think we are seriously considering.

If we are realistic about challenging this year then I would like to think we will show our intent from the off.

Over to you Uncle Jeff.

20 year old South Korean Po Kum Yung has been released by his club after serving a prison sentence for offences against schoolboys. He has stated that on his release he would consider playing in Uk, and would be happy to kick start his career in a league 1 youth team.
