Well Done MMF, Geordie, Joly [and thanks for keeping me in the know], Stu and Neil [& others] for mounting the pressure on the worst manager I've ever known. The club can now move forwards with a proper manager.
Couldn't quite believe what I was hearing from Joly, it seemed like he was stalking him... ...it's been a strange day, and I'd love to know when the decision was made.
Joly mentioned it might have had something to do with the London Boys / Bruce George getting something going, so well done to them.
Merson, I'd like to say Good Luck. You aint a manager. I just wonder why we have had to be a test bed for what has been a disasterous experiment.
Up The Saddlers
Only one person knows when the decision was made, but Merson was told at 5.30pm today, before hot footing it to the Swan!

Great news for Walsall Football Club, the uncertainty about Saturday was getting unbearable.
I'm not going into celebration mode, because I still like Merson as a person (poetry! :D ) and honestly feel sorry for him. It ain't his fault that he hadn't got what it takes, but that's the plain and simple fact of the matter, he couldn't hack it, he must have known it and he should have gone voluntarily some time back, and Saturday night at the VERY latest.
Looking forward to hearing who is going to come in and grab this more-than-adequate squad by the scruff of the neck, tell them the easy ride is over, and lick them into shape to perform for us 100% - home and away.
Onwards and upwards ! :D

time to pop open some bevvies! it is a big relief to say the least. i hope that merse doesnt take it too badly though and can get a job that suits him more now-i appreciated his effort for a while, but glad that we can hopefully get someone in who knows what he's doing know. whats the phrase, something about not being able to make a silk purse from a pig's ear?
