Brighton and Hove Albion (H) League 1 Saturday 15/4/11.

Wed Apr 13, 2011 8:24 pm

No need for a form guide for this one , all we can hope for is an heroic performance ie Southampton a few weeks ago , or Champions elect Brighton are still in party mood following clinching promotion and doing us a good turn on Tuesday night .

Prediction heart says home win
Head says away win

I'll settle for a draw.

Like you Duke you can only on form see a Brighton win.

I'll go for Saddlers 3-1 (oh my god I have just typed that and not changed it)

This is the game that could make all the difference. We aren't expected to get anything out of it, but we weren't expecting to beat Southampton either. 11 V 11 anything can happen. If, we could pull it off, it would put us within touching distance of our goal. I fancy this one, much more than I do Southampton away.

Walsall 1 Brighton 0. Super Jim to roll back the years, as Brighton throw the kitchen sink at us, we sneak off up the other end and nick a goal.

Hmmm, let's see - they have clinched promotion (well done, Gus!) and need 3 more points for the title.

They could, of course, clinch it at Bescot, on Saturday - but wouldn't it be nicer for them to win it at the Withdean (ugh!), in front of their own fans?

So maybe they'll take it easy on Saturday and let us win?

Well, I can dream, can't I?

This is our version of the dongles v manure, anything gained would be an unexpected (and probably season saving) bonus. Hold on, the inbreds beat fungusface's best didn't they!

Heart says we scrap a miraculous win, head says 1-3.

Ah those were the days!!

If we play anything like we have for the last 2 games we will get slaughtered. We need a big jump in performance to even get a draw. I'd be happy with that after Tuesday.

Walsall vs. Hull City 2005, Walsall vs. Bury 2007 ... just two converse examples from our recent past which makes me think we won't lose on Saturday, and I think we can get a win. C'mon lads.

2-0 to the super saddlers, i am old enough to remember tough games like this before when we were not expected to get anything, but knowing Walsall we will win.

I might not agree with Sheff all the time, but give him a break, if that's his opinion he hasn't just got to change it because you/me/and everybody else want us to win. It's called a prediction :| Sheff would love Walsall to win, but if he feels that we are going to loose he has just as much right to put his prediction up as anyone else :!:

Head says Brighton win

Heart says Saddlers win

So I consulted the middle ground , guess thats my neck , and it was adamant that it would be a draw .

3-1 Saddlers

We are all going out for a day at the match tomorrow, you coming ?

I agree with the point though, no point just saying we will win cos it's our team. It's a tough game, but we can still get something out of it with a bit of luck.

Your heart's in the right place Rob, but you've chosen the wrong person to back here. Sheff is not, nor has ever been a bastion of open-mindedness and rationality. UTS is (and always has been) the victim of his angst, brought about by his virginity.

There is no divine right to put a prediction up uninterrupted, and there definitely isn't when you act like a moron.

How old are you lot? Even i ain't stupid enough to argue about something that's just plain silly. :D
I unfortunately won't be there tomorrow which i am absolutely gutted about but i really hope the lads can surprise everyone and give you lot something to cheer about.
I'll be optimistic and go with a 2-1 home win. Gray and Macken on target.

I have no idea when, but one of these days you are going to be right, Big Baz! I certainly don't think it'll be tomorrow though; in fact, if we play like we played for the first 35-40 minutes on Tuesday, it'll more likely end up Walsall 0 Brighton 7!

However, I find myself enveloped in a strange mixture of hope, uncertainty and indecision. So, to avoid me having to decide whether, as regards tomorrow, I'm a glass half-empty person or a glass half-full person, I've been out and bought a smaller glass which is now, unsurprisingly, full to the brim. :)

1-0 to the super Saddlers in front of a hostile away crowd.

Sheff to turn up on Sunday and visit the market, so he can say he's been to Bescot this season.
