Just my perception but, I genuinely suspect that any contact with Evo presents a public health risk.

Biggest game in Europe this week, right?

Another hard-fought home win. In many ways I think this will be a tougher test than Southampton, since as with the Rochdale game there will be some in the crowd who think we should win with comparative ease.

Heart says 1-0 to us.
Head says 1-1.

They're on a cracking run at the moment and will be tough opposition - probably, as Jorge14 has said, tougher than Southampton.

Nah - according to BBC Radio Dingle, that'd be the Mansfield Town v. Chasetown F.A. Trophy replay. That's what they're covering, live, on Tuesday, instead of our match v. Orient - just as they covered the original game at Chasetown, instead of our match at Bescot.

Dear WM
1) 99.99% of Chasetown fans would have actually have been at that first game, so what was the point of live coverage on radio?
2) BBC local radio is organised on a County basis and WM stands for "West Midlands". In case you hadn't noticed, Chasetown is in bloody Staffordshire!

How many times?!! WM won't be covering any games because they told the club at the start if the season that they couldn't guarantee how many they could cover with their budget. The club then decided to finance a commentator/reporter to go to every game for saddlersworld.

Who gives a stuff about WM and whether they report on Chasetown instead of us? Only stayaways. Any fan who can't make the game wouldn't mind paying for saddlersworld.

Moaning on here isn't going to make WM start coming to Walsall games, and I wouldn't want them to. If, however we get a big game in the future that they want to commentator on, if I were the club I'd tell them to eff off and refuse them entry.

1) Why are "covering games on WM" and "covering games on Saddlersworld" mutually exclusive? Most fans have access to a portable/car radio but don't always have access to a computer or a suitable smart-phone to access the Internet when away from base.

2) I've never tried to access it myself but, from what I have read on here, from time to time, Saddlersworld can be an unreliable service.

3) My complaint is made more as a licence-payer than a Saddlers fan. Try listening to coverage of smaller clubs (like ours) by the BBC in other areas where the small clubs have competition from bigger clubs. We suffer very badly in comparison.

4) Sports coverage on WM is absolute garbage. It is obsessed with Premier League football (yes, I know that there are 4 PL clubs in the WM area) to the almost total exclusion of everything else (and, of course, has an obsession with one of those 4 clubs). Very few sports lend themselves to live commentary (football, rugby, cricket?) but what is WM's latest bright idea? Commentary on bloody speedway! By all means feature speedway - it has a strong following in the West Midlands - but do it with studio features and phone-ins (although, personally, I hate the latter). I do not feel that my licence fee is being wisely spent.

5) It's little wonder that BBC Radio Dingle is losing listenership. It has been steadily "dumbed-down" over the last 25 years to the point where we now have the radio equivalent of the Daily Star, featuring that idiot, Paul Franks. Bring back Tim Beech and Ian Winter!

I'm not disagreeing with what you're saying, I just think its a pointless post every time it gets mentioned. WM spend their ever decreasing budget on where they see fit. They obviously don't care about reduced listening figures.

Every game is mossive now. Will be popping down for this one. Agree it will be a tough one, especially with the run they are on. We need to be aiming to win our home matches though so hopeully another good turn out will cheer the lads onto victory and the next episode in the Great Escape
