Notts County (A) League 1 Wednesday 2/2/11.

Sat Jan 29, 2011 8:10 pm

The short trip to Nottingham next up in our relegation battle to face Paul Inces Notts County .

Meadow Lane will hold wonderful memories for many Saddlers following our promotion party 3 years ago .

The Magpies sit 18th in the table on 31 points from from 24 played , and have yet to draw an home fixture .

Full home record

7 wins - 5 defeats -17 goals for - 12 against

Last 6 league games.

Plymouth - away - drew 1-1
Walsall - away - won 3-0
Hartlepool - home - won 3-0
Southampton - away - drew 0-0
Carlisle - home - lost 0-1
Harlepool - away - drew 1-1

Prediction :

Here's hoping big spending Manchester City will soften them up in Sundays FA Cup tie.

1-2 away win.

I think we'll lose this one 4-0.

In all seriousness, this will be a completely different test to the stroll in the park we saw this afternoon. They ripped us apart at our place, albeit under Hutchings.
I'd take a point and that's what I think we'll get. 1-1, Nicholls with the goal.

We should be right up for this so I'm going for a sneaky 1-0 Walsall, Price to score.

419 Saddlers in attendance.

Let's hope for a couple of sendings off and a few injuries tomorrow.
Thinking about it, they've sold Ben Davies who was their best player by some way, so that might stand in our favour too.

One goal in it either way. Draw the best bet - they have the cup to worry about tomoz and will be more tired.

Terribly tempted to try to take the time to talk the trinity to travel to this tempting tussle.

I'm expecting a gold star from Pedagogue for that effort :D

I like the Culliteration.

I could converse with Cully in the concourse at County over a Coca-Cola.

Galvanised into going to this gorgeously glorious game. Gunning for generously gifted goals and gearing up for gratuitously gurning at the garrulous, galled, gaping goons at the getting of this gripping gained game as they gripe gingerly garbled gibberish.

If you drive to here - I will give you a lift... that way, my wife will have no choice but to let me out because she likes you.

Watching their FA cup match against Man City, it doesn't look like the pitch will be in very good shape come Wednesday evening. :?

Away fans are put in the Jimmy Sirrel stand usually the block next to the family stand behind the goal.

Made sense giving them the Kop back, if I was a County fan I'd have been bloody annoyed when away fans were put in there!

Don't forget, according to Notts County we only took 1500 last time we went, despite there being standing room only in a 5000 seat stand. I therefore expect our official following on Wednesday to be 27.

Me and a few mates are travelling up and staying over both Tuesday and Wednesday night. Any Saddlers up for a few beers either night? There must be a student night somewhere in Notts both nights.

After watching Notts County against Man City, If they put in as much effort into the game it will be hard for the boys I think the best I can hope for is a draw

Know what ya mean, but I'm still hopeful it can be a night to remember under the floodlights.

Also I would hope that the club had someone at meadow lane doing a bit of a scout on them.

Here's the 1500 they said there were. Those stewards taking cash made a fortune that day.
