Leyton Orient (A) League 1 Tuesday 28/9/10.

Sat Sep 25, 2010 8:42 pm

As predicted on the Hartlepool match thread we travel to the capital in the relegation zone with hosts 1 point and 2 places above us.

Form guide the O's last 5 league games .

Exeter - home - won 3-0
Dag & Red - away - lost 0-2
Huddersfield - home - lost 1-2
Notts County - away - 2-3
Brentford - home -won 1-0

Full home record
won 2 -drew 0 - lost 2 - 6 goals for 5 against .

Prediction : I'd love to be able to predict and end to our losing streak ,with Hutchings at the helm the best we can hope for is a scrappy draw.

I very confidently predict that, about 10.50pm on Tuesday, Orient will be 4 points above us.

I just can't see any other outcome while CH and MOC remain in charge. :(

I hope to be one of the 5 idiots behind the goal that get him the sack on tuesday!! the 2-0 defeat won't help either. Predict less then 100 Saddlers there as well

1-0 to orient.

Exile to attempt lancing his boil, but decide against it at the last minute.

Yes, it's time we stopped losing by the odd goal.

Another 5-0 defeat in London should do for CH what it did for PM. Unfortunately, I won't be behind the goal this time...

Change that to 'Fortunately'. I remember how miserable I was after that 5-0 v Brentford.

Like others i can't see any other outcome than another Walsall loss with those 2 in charge. Hopefully on Wednesday morning the news will come in that they both have left the club but i still doubt it.

Leyton Orient 4-1 Walsall

The only reason why i have us down to score a goal is because we surely can't be that bad.

..... and clearly we CAN score goals, but it seems we just can't defend, even against an inept (no disrespect to our Poolies friends) team like Hartlepool.

Apparently, the Walsall team. I've heard we've been at the last 6 aswell but nothing to suggest it.

Leyton Orient 3-1 Walsall

ws3 to turn up, realise he's on his own, and go in the home end to make it look as if he's got mates. The other 71 travelling fans to stay in the Three Blackbirds pub and have a much better night.

2-0 defeat, in front of 100 or so Saddlers.

Our lowest published away league following is something like 92.

The last three Saddler followings at Leyton Orient [all Saturday matches] tell a familiar ever decreasing story:

07/08 - 456
08/09 - 212
09/10 - 178

A serious danger of an alltime low?

I'll be there and we'll win 2-0 infront of hardly anybody.

Basing that prediction on absolutely no insight, thought or scientific preparation whatsoever. A bit like a CH teamtalk :D

OK what do we do, simple, all out for at least a point to stop the rot so my team would be

Brain

Lescot
Lancashire
Smith
Richards

Reid
Marshall
Davis
Geddes
Gray

Macken

Subs: McGivern, Grigg, Macdonald, Patterson, Westlake, Nicholls, Bevan, Bowerman, Hickman

Play 4-5-1 with Richards back at left back to give some cover down that side, throw young Geddess in to see what he can do in the middle protected by Davis and Marshall. Macken upfront with Gray and Ried coming in from wide.

If as expected the midfield is too weak, bring McGivern in for Richards with Geddess moving out, keep the same formation and ensure we DONT lose.

It comes to something when we are reliant on a average left back to provide our midfield guile, if that doesnt work, we are doomed

Funnily enough I am sitting here scratching my head at who to play where, now if I am Numpty Hutchings must know the writings on the wall. He has bought in kids and FAILED to invest in a central midfielder and centre half who SHOULD be the spine of the team. Another defender who has bought in some great attacking players but cannot manage defensively, something I have always found very strange.

Bevan

Lescott
McDonald
Smith
Westlake

Reid
Richards
Davis
Gray

Macken
Grigg

Good old 4-4-2 for me.
Wouldnt play Richards anywhere but centre midfield as he's performed well there, his best position.
Give Grigg his chance, with Big Mac upfront.

Id go the 4 5 1 route. Macken up front with Reid, and Gray supporting him.

Fortunately, I will be able to attend this enticing fixture.
I predict that the Saddlers will halt their recent sequence of bad luck with a decisive victory.
Nicholls with a brace.

I'm intrigued as to why people seem to think that dropping McGivern would be a good idea.

Watch where the goals we've conceded so far this season have come from. I think there are a couple of more suitable candidates for a place on the bench than him.

It shows just how thin our squad is. A couple of injuries, and Despite the poor results the team more or less picks itself at the moment.
