Where on Earth did you get that figure from?

I bet you a Twix it's at least 1,000 less than that.

1 -1 draw, att. 4,074, me and my sons not in attendance.

Could not care less, for the first time in my supporting history I have actually enjoyed the close season without WFC.
I will be going fishing with my mate on Sat and I am really looking forward to it. I have not missed the first game of the season in over 10 years.

Thanks Geoff

Not sure when I will be back to the Bank's's'''sss's's'sss. Maybe September :|

I plucked it out of the air.
I doubt it'll be as low as 4,074 though, or I certainly hope not anyway, that'd be disappointing.. I always think first game of the season brings more of a crowd, they'll soon reduce as the season progresses though
That, and the fact I expect MK Dons to bring quite a few away fans.

We have not had an opening home fixture for a couple of years [v Carlisle, 6,933], so that should raise it above the 4,500 mark. It will probably be slightly lower than the 4,772 that turned up for the corresponding fixture at the end of last season.

Therefore 4,621 will see a 1-1 draw. Manny Smith for us.

Agree. I see loads of messages on Facebook with people saying how much they are looking forward to the new season. I just can't get that feeling. I think the club have finally ground all hope and expectation out of me. I wouldn't be bothered if the season was still two months away. Nice weekend away with the family for me this weekend.

If it isn’t raining then I am at Edgbaston for the cricket will be the first time I have missed an opening league home game since 1996 when I was away with an ex.

For the record I think we will scrap a 2-0 win in front of 4995 people and a goat.

For the record I don't think Cueball will be down the Bonk''s'sss's very often. He also has realised other pursuits (golf in this instance) can provide just as much ((more?) entertainment and fulfillment than following a so-called ambitious football club every week.

Troy to point at Phil saying "you're wrong, be nice to people" at half time.

2-1 Walsall

Bonser to arrange for the brass 'reserved' sign to be permanently removed from Geoff Whiting's old seat, and conduct a ceremonial tartan rug burning session at half time.

Can't imagine there being many there, Watford are away at Norwich tomorrow night

Walsall 2-1, Richards to open the scoring with a free kick and then Deeney to score the winner in his last game for the Saddlers.
4,321 will be the crowd.

Sorry I had forgotten that the Tele Mafia now arrange all the fixtures!
Do you REALLY think MR.Deeley (as the STAR boldly stated today) will ever turn out for the Saddlers again?

Yes, on saturday.

Probably not after that.

First opening day game I've missed since 1998, but I'd be there if I could. Think it'll be a 1-1 draw.

I admit that prediction does look somewhat more unlikely than when I made it yesterday afternoon.

Interestingly, you can still back Deeney as first goalscorer on Ladbrokes. Can't imagine they'll get many takers.

We'll win 2-0 in front of 4,775.

Grey and Jones with goals in the second half.

This thread to have more pre-game posts than post game posts as a rumour that JB was trying to sell the players cars while they were all playing dominates AAW. The rumour is verified by somebody who has a mate who knows a thing or two about a thing or two.
