Fleetwood Town (H) F A Cup 1st rnd replay Tuesday 16/11/10.
Crowd about 1800-2000. Lots of anti-Hutchings songs. Crowd very unhappy at the moment.

how embarrasing is that
Even Kearnsy on sadsworld says we are very lucky to be going in level at HT.
Embarrasing, I agree.

BBC reporting they've had 4 shots on goal to our 2. Theyve also had 5 corners

But do you think playing at home holds any advantage whatsoever for us these days?
There is zero atmosphere with dwindling crowds, an extra pressure on the players to perform at home in the midst of negativity around the place, and it is more of a gee up for non-league players to play in a league ground so they are actually more motivated to perform.
I'd say it was always going to be pretty even. But I agree with yoda in that a non-league team beating us at home is totally unacceptable.

Keep the faith - we haven't lost yet, and I'm sure inspirational manager Chris Hutchings will deliver a stirring half-time team talk to rouse the lads from their stupor and deliver a stunning second-half performance to deliver the victory we crave.

Exactly. Im glad somebody picked this up.
Not just furious at the one result, but that the joke has run for so long that being at home holds no advantage at all over a non-league team.
Back to the fortress, anyone?

Re: Fleetwood Town (H) F A Cup 1st rnd replay Tuesday 16/11/10.
Just had a half time update from my old man, he says it is absolutely appalling.
By his reckoning at half time, we'd had one tame shot on target where as they'd had about 6, with Walker making "3 match winner classic Wacka saves and 2 kicked off the line" according to an earlier text... He said the last 10/15 minutes of the first half that they looked like could open us up at will. Nicholls playing "okay", him and Walker aside, we're diabolical apparently.
Guesses the attendance at around 2,000 - 2,200.

Tommy Coakley would be ashamed
Oh for the FA Cup run of 1987. Watford anyone ? Didnt matter how many tricks John Barnes had or how many times Mark Falco fouled our Fred , they couldnt put us away . Can still see Trevor Christie's volley bursting the net after Physcho's knock down .
Happy Days . They will be back fella's ....it's all cyclical .

Has anyone got good enough photoshop skills to replace the wolves badge with a saddlers badge for the beef/chicken/laughing stock joke?

Im calling it now, we win this. Maybe on penos, but we progress.
I can feel it in my bones, its going to be a stick Hutch beats us with whenever we doubt him for the next month or so.

The 4-4 draw was my first ever away match... I got back from school and was ready to go to my Nan's whilst my dad went to the game, and it was sprung on me as a surprise present for my birthday, what a first away game to go to, absolutely amazing.
Shame that whilst Watford couldn't put us away, that Andy Dornan could.

That was one of my all time Walsall moments - When we equalized to make it 4-4 I became all emotional , it was an unbelievable game , we just wouldn’t go away , Watford were a v.good side then with Barnes etc and we matched them every single second of the game and simply refused to go away - great days

Hell of a first away game !
Mine was Blackpool Away in 1980 when Alan Ball was their manager. My Grandad , Dad and me in the car. Mega exciting.
Missed shed loads of chances and lost 1 - 0 . Much more realistic sign of things to come !

Yer that as well. But when I think of Watford 4-4 in the cup I think of darkness for some reason
