Sutton Coldfield Town FC vs Hitchin 12/4/10, nomark league

Mon Apr 12, 2010 8:32 pm

United took on the mighty Hitchin in a game at Coles Lane tonight, and although United lost 3-1, almost all 183 of the fans attending had an excellent time. There were only one or two people protesting (about 0.92%) that the Zamaretto from the club rooms tasted foul, while seasoned supporters looked back on the halcyon days of preseason games against a Walsall second string with tears in the corners of their eyes.

I went along because I had heard what was going on. I didn't see any protesters and I doubt the press will be interested in them trying to get their name changed anyway. The 2 or 3 protesters need to get a proper campaing going like Man U or Southampton.

You can't have been there other wise you would have known there were officially 184 fans. :)

Personally i thought there was a crowd of 3800 and 35 people approximately voiced there dis-content at the change of name from town to united. All the other spectators joined hands and kissed each other because they were united as one.

Great names for a president and vice president of football club at SCTFC

President - Bernard Bent
Vice President / Football Secretary - Bill Worship

Bet Bill writes better program notes than RW, in fact I would say they are almost biblical.

One of them even had a flag, albeit upside down and the wrong way round!
