Agree it isn't great, but with a suspension and a number of injuries what else could the line up be?

Not a shot on target yet against a team who have conceded 8 in two games :( .

0 0 at half time and a perfect example of why the club are struggling in the league and in attendances: we've had 3 attempts to score in 45 mins and not one has been within 20ft of the bristol goal.

Listening to the commentary on BBC Bristol. Apparently they are outpassing us and feel positive about getting a result in the Second half. They also commented that we look dodgy defensively from set pieces.
There does not seem to be that much in it - pitch is "cutting up badly" according to the Gas commentators.
The ground seems to be as quiet atmosphere-wise as ever.
Sounds a 0-0 to me.

Two very poor teams and a very poor game. We'll only score by accident.

Sounds pretty grim according to the WM commentary.
Where's Alex Nicholls again? Will Hutchings spot an opportunity to bring him on in his rightful position up front, and maybe find a way to change the game? :?
On the bright side, Hartlepool have equalised against Leeds at the Victoria Ground. C'mon you monkey hangers!

There has just been a comment on BBC Radio Bristol about "Walsall having a work ethic problem", as Byfield gives up a through ball too easily.

Nicholls on, Richards off, three up front maybe, but no-one creative to link-up with them.

I'm listening to that too! Let's face it, we need all the optimism we can get. I'll take a point out of this now.
I can't wait for Tuesday  .

Ince was the sponser MOM - not sure if that sums up the game or just that the sponsors automatically do that if no one scores for Walsall :?:

Re: Bristol Rovers (H) League 1 Saturday 6/2/10.
Sounded like we were fortunate to get a point, even though unlucky with Clayton's header in the closing moments.
Against a team that conceded EIGHT goals in their last two away games, it's just nowhere near good enough. Tells more of a story about US than them I guess. With more injuries today, this glut of games coming so close together, and some really tough games in there, I'd say we're now definitely looking more down the table than up, and are very unlikely to end this month far off those relegation places now.
Let's hope that JB does indeed back CH in the loan market next week, because this squad is showing nowhere near the quality to gain the points we need.
Will be interesting to hear, a little later, the opinions of those who were actually at the match today.

It's hard to get a full picture from a biased commentary [although I've heard worse in that sense], but we seem to lack quality all over the pitch. Ok, we had one or two players out, but from a footballing point of view it's just not good enough.
Uninspiring stuff. I'm going on Tuesday but only because I work two miles or so from the ground. I'll support the team all the way but summoning up the enthusiasm will take a considerable effort.
We're just lucky that we are in one of the worst Third Divisions [bottom half] I can ever remember, which should ensure we avoid the drop. I would'nt put money on it, though.

Believe me BS, the WM commentary at this end was also far from complimentary about us. Clearly they thought Rovers were far more likely to get the winner than we were.
As we have both said above, "just not good enough".

"Promotion contenders"
What an atrocious performance, absolutely woeful, gutless, and terrible.
One shot on target in 90 minutes against an average side says it all - and that was a pea roller from Richards.
Nothing more to say about the game except that we were lucky not to lose, as Bristol opened us up at the back 3 or 4 times but just couldnt find the net - whilst at the other end, we didnt create a single chance.
I am totally fed up of piss poor football, its shocking, we can barely pass to each other, we're constantly playing with our backs to goal, we dont have any wingers, we dont have any pace and our midfield specialise in doing nothing. The games are boring and we constantly get outplayed by teams who are totally average - we made Mark Wright look like Cristiano Ronaldo today - thats a sign of how f*cking atrocious we are.

Just listened to his aftermatch interview on Sadsworld. He thought that the result was fair and seemed reasonably satisfied with the performance on a "difficult" pitch.
