No shots for the last 15 minutes, 10 mins to go. Think we can safely write this off as lost now. :(

That is three poor away performances on the bounce now.

Our longest winning run in the league this season is two games. We've managed this just twice. I wonder if this is a record in a season in which we haven't been relegated?

Before tonight Southend were the only team in all 4 divisions not to have won in 2010. Then along come WfC.

To get beaten 3-0 by a team who have not won this year is just plain rubbish.

Pure horror.
3-0 defeat mirrored by a 3-0 triumph for the scum.

Re: Southend United (A) League 1 Re Arranged Tuesday 23/3/10
did we really expect anything more? We're got a useless team and a clueless manager who opts to play richards over smith...for an away game where we know we're going to need to keep it tight at the back.
What the hell was wrong with swapping smith for hughes? We look far less vulnerable with vincent at left back (at least he heads the ball) and far less vulnerable with a 6ft plus centre back at...centre back!
Even if smith has signalled his intention to leave, id still play him.

Which shows how truly terrible this division is. The top 6 or 7 clubs plus Southampton are miles better than the rest.

I tend to agree. The degree of complete averageness is incredible.

We're still overachieving. As Steve Jones said in the E&S today, the players expected a relegation battle!

Don't wake the Kracken, he'll be telling us about all the real scratchings someone was eating behind the goal around the back of some obscure pub in Whitby on the sea.
Can't wait.

No, but given whats been said in the press by hutch, ie. passing the blame on the smith for the contract talks stalling...and the fact theres been no further indication that he's staying or that talks are ongoing, i assume he will be leaving, and it also would fit in nicely with why we signed Clayton Mcdonald in january.

Rubbish Rubbish and more Rubbish sums up our last three away games. Wonder what clueless and Deeney have to say after this one.
On a positive note I've just seen more entertainment watching Wednesbury Sports Union beat All Saints at Bilston Town for a quid 3 - 0
Hutchings OUT
