Taundry's first ever goal for the Saddlers. It only took him 78 appearances.

At HT we're 10th on the virtual table, and with Gillingham Tranmere and Brighton all drawing, plus Oldham losing, we are looking less like relegation candidates and much more like the mid-table side we aspire to become.

Halftime report from WM . First 20mins mainly Bristol Rovers, Deeney and Nicholls chasing lost causes up front. First shot by Mattis on 25 mins saved followed shortly by Taundrys effort that went wide. Header by Deeney went wide then Nicholls chased yet another lost cause, won the ball and his shot was saved but went straight to Taundry who scored from inside the box into the lefthand corner. A few minutes later Walsall should have made it 2 0 when McDonald heads over from close range following a corner by Till. Finished the 1st half stronger and are just shading it.

Let's have more of the same please.

Again off topic but just posted on BBC:
Matty Fryatt: He was apparently motionless on the stretcher in a neck brace and has gone straight to hospital with a possible fractured jaw. Get well soon Matty

Have to say I didn't expect this tonight, but from the commentary it sounds like it was thoroughly deserved. A big relief to halt the expected slide down the table, and a vital 3 points, especially with the match at Leeds coming up now.

Well done to all, especially Clayton Ince for saving the penalty and the follow-up. :D

I'm sure i put on the other match thread that walsall would draw at home and win by the odd one away. I feel that walsall feel under more pressure at home to perform. When walsall used to go behind the fans got behind the team where as now the players get barracked and be-rated and put down to high hell.

Look at everyone now.
Yeah, I was one of the few who wasnt all Doom & Gloom before Feb, so many want Hutchings out. Funny how 90 minutes can change so many opinions of us now becoming a mid-table team instead of relegation candidates. Funny, you all forgot we hadnt had a game for a month thats why we were 6-7 points off relegation which still itself wasnt worrying.

UP THE SADDLERS!
ONE CHRIS HUTCHINGS!
