As an ex Millwall striker, I can see the positives with Parkin and still think that he could come good in the second half of the season (but I may be wrong of course :-)) Byfield and he could get an extra 10% out of Deeney too (which is good for all concerned).

Perhaps, Jonah has had to be omitted from the squad for personal reasons. I've read about his wife's illness in the past and wish the Jones family the best of health (BTW, I'm not trying to be disrespectul or scare-mongering - I'm merely trying to consider a possible reason for arguably our best player being omitted from a squad).
