Super result. Leaves us handily placed in 7th.

Lots of credit must go to the playing side of the club for its recent league form. OK, it has been against sides from the bottom half but we've looked loads better the last month or so. Would be nice to see over 4,500 Walsall fans in attendance on Saturday, with Southampton bringing a few up there should be a decent atmosphere.

That's the third time we've scored 3 away from home already this season. First time that's happened since the famous 00-01 campaign (I think). And I thought we were meant to be clueless away from home, with no end product. Oh, and a substitute scored too. Set up by another substitute. Who knew?

Nice one sam.If we now beat Saints it will atone for how seriously pi22ED off I was after Brentford.

I agree with the previous poster about that miserable sod from Sheffield.

Looking forward to hearing comments from fans at the game.

But the substitutions only worked because Nicholls miskicked to Park Inn who then miskicked it into the net by all accounts

Anyone hear Callum the Yeovil Fan on BBC Somerset after the game - he sounded as if he had even fewer brain cells than the average Dingle.

Is that physically possible?

Great result

And good to hear from Mick Kearns that Miah Dennehey is doing well, he said that Tony Macken had been to see him and Mick's comment was Lord knows how much the pubs of Cork made that night. Hopefully the scummer who attacked Miah will be sent down for a long time. Him and Mark Rees were fastest players i have ever seen in a Walsall shirt. Different generations but i wonder who would have run a race between those 2? Miah's hatrick against Reading in a 6-1 win lives long im my memory. Anyway good to hear he is ok, but apparently not the same as before the attack :(

You got any "exclusives" that could enlighten us on this story Neil R?

Super Sammy Parkin!! Get in my beauty.

3-1 away from home is a great result especially when you only have 3 shots on target.

Come on lets beat the saints.

Very pleased with the result tonight, and particularly good that we bounced back after Saturday's awful performance. It's hard to understand where that very poor showing came from, and why we can sometimes manage to lose our way for virtually a whole game.

Will be interesting to read some first-hand accounts from those that travelled today, and fair play to them for having done that in such cold and wet conditions.

A well-earned victory in the traditional Yeovil conditions, driving wind and rain. We were all over them in the first half (with the wind at our backs), scoring two good goals - though for the first at least we were the beneficiary of awful defending. Predictably they dominated the second half but even though we saw little of the ball (and gave it away most of the time when we did have it) they fashioned few chances, Ince dealt confidently with everything thrown at him and Mark Hughes was terrific in front of him.

MOTM - Mark Bradley. Super performance.

Just the kind of games we need to be winning with regularity, and great to get back on form after Saturday's display.

Well they say football is a funny old game, but I'm baffled. Talk about from the ridiculous to the sublime. How does the team go from Saturday (the less said about that the better) to this performance of grit and determination and no little skill, just three days later?

It wasn't pretty tonight, the weather put paid to that, but Walsall dealt far more effectively with the awful conditions than Yeovil did. As Bristol said, Hughes was superb, especially second half playing against the wind, when he tidied up time and time again, effectively snuffing out the Yeovil threat. Deeney and Byfield both put in a shift, defending from the front and when they were replaced by Nicholls and Parkin, they combined to set up the third goal (although Nicholls part in the goal was tripping over the ball when trying to shoot! :D) It was a battle in the middle of the park as you'd expect and Mattis and Bradley both got stuck in. The wide four all played their part, both in battling to win the ball, but also making themselves available for the ball when an outlet was needed. I could have a couple of minor niggles, but I won't bother as it seems petty after such a great performance. Also, Hutch got his substitutions spot on, both in terms of personnel and timing.

It seems harsh to pick out a man of the match as everyone in the team seemed to be busting a gut for the win, but my vote goes to Hughes for a real captains performance. I've not felt this proud to be a Saddler for a long time.
