Byfield will have a shot, which will encourage many onlookers that when he's match fit around November there could be more shots to come.

That team looks ok to me.Surely Till cannot start again ahead of Nicholls?

Oh and for those who dont believe we've lost fans, just look at how full Bescot was on this day. And also note how we didnt prostitute the family stand.

Seems like it was in another lifetime!

From Merson and Corica to Parkin and Till.

I can't imagine that we can score more that one goal, and surely we can't expect ANOTHER clean sheet, so 1-1 it is with Deeney getting off the mark.

I think we will win.

Missus Asps is going again and she has never seen us lose away.

In saying that she has only been to the play off final, Colchester, Brighton & Norwich.

I say 3 -0 to the Saddlers. Mrs Asps says 2-1.

Hope Parkin scores, my copper jar needs emptying into the coinstar.

Well done Mrs Asps, I knew that threat of kidnap after the Norwich match would persuade our lucky charm to go :D

We can't fail now :D

Got to agree with the majority on this one, has to be the clash of the titans..ie the two worst teams in the League..
so it's got to be 0-0 again, Hutch will almost certainly play 'concrete boots' up front, as certainly as Donkey Hesky
plays up front for England (and fails to score as frequently as Parkin), and Palmer was always 'fitted in' to a Mullen
Walsall side!

Was goin' to go myself but I've done me back in bigtime, so the 'boss' has forbidden the journey, and of course,
you have to park your car somewhere, which is laways a bit dodgy, unless you pay the local 'scalywags' (bless 'em)
to 'look after yer carforrr ya misterrr'

Can't remember the foremat,,,if Parkin scores a goal in my lifetime (ha ha ha), am I out of pocket, or is it the other way round?

I think you're only out of pocket if Bangor Brians defaults on his payments. You were acting as his guarantour. Bangor pays 50p every league match that Parsley plays in & doesn't score.

Hope you're better soon

I've got a little feeling we might just sneak this one 1-0. Deeney to score.

Interesting team selection. Gilmartin stays in, Hughes is fit again but only on the bench, Nicholls comes in for Till, who isn't even on the bench, and neither is Parkin.

Gilmartin
Westlake
Smith
McDonald
Vincent
Nicholls
Taundry
Mattis
Richards
Deeney
Byfield

Bench:
Ince
Weston
Sansara
Hughes
O'Keefe
Bradley
Jones

Worrying. As much stick as they have both been getting (rightly or wrongly), the absense of Parkin and Till means there's very little 'impact' to come from the bench. Possibly Jones aside.

I agree! Jones has caused the most problems this season. I cant see how Taundry down the wing will scare anyone.

Also how can Parkin score two in midweek for the reserves and not even make the bench??

We've only scored 2 or more 3 times in the last 17 league games.

Sat in a English sports bar in Melbourne at 12:30am local time listening on my laptop as my emigre brother-in-law didn't have the common sense to be born in the close season 40 years ago! First game in years I've missed and it's killing me not being there and having to listen via Saddlers Player.

Happy that Nicholls is playing.

315 minutes of football since we last scored, which was against Leeds. 5hrs and 15 mins.

Only two of the six summer signings are in the starting line-up. Only Vincent and Richards are left as first choices, and even they are not really any improvement.

And James Constable has just headed in his 7th goal of the season for Oxford United.

Complete speculation, but how about him scoring two the rezzies, finding he is still on the bench today and throwing a paddy fit, resulting in Hutch dropping him completely or Parkin walking out.... Just one for the conspiracy theorists... :)

Or am I, in Stefanos words, judging the season too early? :(

Sometimes people do judge too early, but thats when you get a lot of bad luck. Our current situation isnt down to bad luck, we simply can't score goals. I said it after the Wolves friendly nearly 2 months ago and I predicted we'd struggle.

I'll say it again, if you don't score goals you dont win games.

Oh and I've just heard Southampton have scored which I think makes us the lowest scorers in the league. Of all the league teams who have played the same amount of games as us, theres only one team that have scored less goals - Darlington - and they are bottom of league 2.

The omens are not good, if we cannot sort out this creativity/scoring problem then we will go down.
