1-1

Palmer to go on mazy dribble and score in the style of Charles 'Charlie' Charles, with Simeon Jackson leading the applause.
Deeney to be the only player to have the decency to try and foul him all match.
Olympic torch procession to pass through the stadium, with Jones to get confused and hold aloft a lighted Parkin who inadvetedly deflects in an equaliser.

Just hope the return of Byfield can spark something upfront.
The result will depend upon the managers chioce of team.Play Parkin and Till =defeat. Play Nicholls and Byfield and we could get something.
Over to you Hutch.

For what it's worth my team for tomorrow;
INCE
WESTON HUGHES SMITH VINCENT
NICHOLLS MATTIS RICHARDS JONES
BYFIELD DEENEY

BENCH;Taundry,Bradley,Till,Parkin,Westlake,O'Keeke,Gilmartin

---Close between Weston and Westlake but it's probably time to take Westlake out for a while after giving him the taste of 1st team football.Hopefully Weston will respond to being dropped.

I would actually move Richards back to the position he looked good at,....left midfield.

My team tomorrow would be

Ince
Weston Hughes Smith Vincent
Jones Mattis Bradley Richards
Byfield Parkin

How people can be pairing Byfield with Parkin is beyond belief!

Ince
Westlake Hughes (if fit) Smith Vincent
Nicholls Mattis Richards Jones
Byfield Parkin

If Hughes is unfit put Roberts in his position.

Im pairing Byfield and Parkin because Parkin seems good in the air and he could benifit from Nicholls and Jones' crosses. Parkin can hold the ball up well and Byfield has got pace and i think Deeney, just like Nicholls, is a very good impact player.

Before you say "your writing him off already, give him a chance blah blah blah", i just want you to know im not ... i will have a permanent judgement on players after 10 games

But you don't seem to have a clue about Parkin!

Good in the air  Not for his size.
Hold the ball up well  For his build he gets knocked off the ball easy. Need to improve his awareness.

As tinned said we must be going to the wrong games

If "good in the air"constitutes 4 headers won in the first half at Brighton on the opening day then yes Parkin is good in the air!

If that is the case I would consider myself good at windserfing after managing to stand upright on a board for about 20 seconds once.

Mick Kearns is suggesting replacing Richards with Taundry at HT.

Now Kearns is lauding the efforts of Parkin - says he has done everything asked of him so far

Half time summary from Kearns - "worst performance (so far) this season " :(

Going for a walk on the seafront - hopefully will return to some better news

Too early to think so? Nah, the performances and results are giving all the right signs that we will go down in my opinion. Deffo gunna finish bottom half.

I think sadly we are witnessing the killing of our once proud football club.

We will get relegated.

3300 was the attendance today, 300 down from the Southend Game.

Whalley needs to resign, Bonser needs to sell the club else we will go sub 3000 crowd wise, get relegated and then never be able to climb back up again.

So the game - we were awful. Boring long ball rubbish football. They were all cack bar Mannie Smith.

There is no desire, no flow, they are lost as soon as they get past the half way line. If you cannot score goals you will struggle, we must have had about 4 shots all game, with one or two on target, but nothing troubled their goalkeeper at all. Gillingham were a poor side, but we were worse. That is the worst home performance I have seen in years.

The club is dying folks, and the powers that be are doing nothing about it.

They are mental and haven't got a clue about football then. Ergo, like the way our football club is run.

How low can the attendances go?

3,331 is just plain embarrassing. Our lowest home league attendance since the Big Fat Jan era. Thanks a bunch for all your hard work, messers Bonser/Whalley.

Stop press - 257 away fans meaning 3,074 Saddlers today. The last time we played Gillingham at home in early 2008 there was 4,555 Saddlers in a crowd of 4,914. By my reckoning, we have now lost a third of our regular home support in only 18 months.
