Disappointed after last night. I think we had many warnings from their attacking play to suggest they were going to score at sometime. For the first time last night I wasn't 100% happy with our tactics or management decision making. I thought that Taundry could have done a good job in the last 20 minutes, chasing them down and basically shoring things up a bit. We used to critisise Mullen for not making late subs to disrupt play and waste time, this didn't happen either. I think the players were a little over confident at times to but 1-1 was a fair result. I think CH and MoC may have learnt a thing or two about his players last night to realise that if next season we are to challenge for promotion then a bit of steel and ruthlessness is to be added to our game. On the positives Deeney I thought was brill. Mattis and Hughes were good. Again Manny Smith was excellent. Credit to CH and MoC who have turned a few of our underperforming players into good League one players in a short time. I am very optimistic for next season (with a few additions in key areas).

Because Gerrard isn't paid £3000 a week and hasnt missed 9 games this season because of petulance.

1. Do you ACTUALLY know how much he is paid?

2. Gerrard has been professional enough to fight at the POTY dinner so glass houses etc.

At least if they're arguing:

a) they're communicating - something lacking last night

b) they care.

AG is better than Manny Smith. Back four should be Boertien, Gerrard, Smith and Weston

He isn't, not by a long way, but his good form means that should Gerrard leave then we probably only need to be looking at bringing in one first-choice centre back and one backup rather than needing two for the first team.
