THREE QUESTIONS
1. Is this the youngest team ever to play for the Saddlers? (Apart from Ince how many are over 23?)

2. Have we ever fielded a more inexperienced team?
Mark Bradley, Richard Taundry, Alex Nicholls, Troy Deeney, Manny Smith, Netan Sansara
Rene Gilmartin, Richard Davies, Sam Adkins, Hassan Bacchu

are all products of the youth team (10 out of 16!)

3. Have we ever fielded a worse team?

That team is cannon fodder.

also...Taundry RIGHT WING and Palmer RIGHT BACK. Answers on a postcard.

apparently Deeney is up front but he keeps switching with Nicholls every other attack.

ok Palmer is injured.

Taundry to right back...Sam Adkins is on in MIDFIELD.

Troy (bearing in mind we are losing) who was upfront has gone to right wing in a 451 with Jabo up front on his own..

The fans' are singing 'Are you Mullen in disguise?!'

If this is anything to go by, John Schofield can sod right off.

Shambles.

My earlier question / ponder about Reich still being left on the bench has just been answered. :x

Scary stuff by the sounds of it. Reminscent of the same feelings of it being 'groundhog day' that I had at Brentford when we lost 5-0. We all know how the season ended up after this. I really do fear that relegation is a real possibility this season. I am all for giving the youth a chance - but that bench is the YOUTH TEAM apart from Reich and Gilmartin. They aren't even first year pros!

Rob Palmer the correspondent at the Sheff Wed - Charlton game just made a comment that for me was really poignant and real.

'New Chairman for Sheff Wednesday, New Start, New Generation and a New Belief for the fans', It's 2-0 to Sheffield Wednesday'.

Initial reaction - the starting line-up just goes to show how we desperately we need to bring in some new faces before the close of the transfer window. Palmer still plays despite Mullen going. Gerrard is captian - good boost for him. Reich is still here.

No Weston and no Ricketts?

Remarkable number of youngsters on now Palmer has gone off ( )

(23 Adkins )
20 Smith
27 Sansara
19 Deeney
12 Bradley
14 Taundry
17 Nicholls

If we get anything out of this - even a good display with narrow defeat - it will be very positve with so many neophytes in the team :D :D :D
Here's hoping.
