Why? That argument does my head in. Does that mean if a plumber goes inside, he can't work when he comes back out? Or a brickie or a lawyer? Jeez, if we did that then the unemployment rate in this country would be significantly higher than it is.

Maybe, maybe not, but that's not his fault. He served his time, he is allowed to resume his career just as any ex-con could (if they had a career)... I'd have had him at our place any day of the week personally.

You reckon? I think you'd be surprised personally. Going off at a tangeant, the whole point of going to jail is suposedly to rehabilitate so they can integrate back into society normally when they've served their term... Hughes is also doing a lot of community work up in the North West too apparently, at schools/colleges etc and even with ex-cons. I don't condone his behaviour, but I'd rather he go out and earn a living and contribute to society than sit on his backside claiming dole off the taxpayers.
