Leicester City (A) League 1 Tuesday 21/10/08.
First a look at our hosts last 6 league games.
Millwall - home- lost 0-1`
Orient - away - won 3-1
Hartlepool - home - won 1-0
Colchester - away - won 1-0
Huddersfield - away - won 3-2
Oldham - away - drew 1-1
The Millwall game is the only defeat for the Foxes this term , you won't need me to tell you ex Saddler Matt Fryatt tops the scoring chart at the Walkers stadium on 8 goals.
Leicester are second in league 1 on 23 points from 10 games played.
Prediction , After 2 home defeats we need something from this tough fixture , I've never tipped my team to lose I'm not going to start now 1-1.

Not too hopefully but I'm gonna punt for a flukey 2-2. Fryatt to get all 4.

I'd love us to go there and get something from that 'Billy Big Boots' lot. We may as well just have a go, as we can't defend, but if the midfield is set up right we CAN cause them problems.
A gung ho 2-1 defeat.

Re: Leicester City (A) League 1 Tuesday 21/10/08.
I can see this as a harsh lesson for our tactically-inept manager, followed by another at Elland Road on Saturday, and I doubt if he'll learn a single thing from either of them. The results will be two defeats and a demoralised squad low in confidence as we drop to the half-way mark in the league and start looking downwards rather than upwards.
So that's it, two 1-0 wins then, hopefully with 9 men so JM can snivel and cry so touchingly that he'll convince nearly everyone (AGAIN) that Walsall FC is the love of his life.
Then again, it's only my opinion and saddlerken says I'm not allowed to comment and he's even told me to stay away, so I retract everything and I'm burning my Leicester A-Z. :(

Lord alone knows. If the players play as well as they can, this game is winnable. If some don't apply themsleves fully, we'll lose. Either way, it'll be up to them to earn the plaudits or live with the defeat. Never has the cliche about it being up to the players when they 'cross the white line' been more true than at Walsall now.

Geoff, I always used to enjoy reading your posts, they were intelligent, informative and well-balanced. These days though, every remark you make or opinion you give seems to be clouded by your dislike of Mr Bonser and I long for a return to your well thought out comments.
Whatever else can be said about Mr Mullen (and I agree that on a few occasions he has been tactically inept) there is absolutely no doubt that he is a passionate football man who cares deeply about achieving success with his team. He was very much entitled to "snivel and cry" after the Brighton match - it was a tremendous win against all the odds. Are you really suggesting that it wasn't a genuine reaction? And I don't think he's ever said that Walsall is the "love of his life" but that doesn't mean he isn't totally committed to the job he's doing.
Whether he has the skills necessary to do that job is another matter and I think the jury's still out, but I can't see how anyone can question his commitment.

I agree. I've read many times people say they don't care what players play for us or how good they are as long as they give their all. This doesn't seem to apply to managers.
Anyway, about Leicester I think we'll either scrape an impressive win by one goal or get thrashed by a 3 or 4 goals margin. Either one would not surprise me in the slightest, especially as I am not attending which means the win is more likely.

Those people don't really apply it to players either. It's just a convenient soundbite for when they want to criticize a good player who doesn't cover every blade of grass or when the attitude of the whole side seems to be wrong - but they'll never defend a player and call for his continued selection solely on effort (take Troy Deeney for example - many people admire his effort, but still want him taken out of the team because they think that he's not very effective).

Fantastic, that's what I like to hear. Means I might see an away win for once!
In fact, if you staying away means a win, could you not decide to boycott future matches in disgust? I dunno, make something up that you're disgusted about.
I know...considering the manager's a used car salesman, how come we don't have cars driving around the touchline at half-time like other clubs do? Bonser out...don't give him another penny of your money
