My first match of the season. As a former season ticket holder up until this season, I've finally succumbed to temptation, prior to the Hereford match. I'm just hoping that the performance will impress me sufficiently to warrant further home visits. Apart from the massive anti-Bonser issue, I was also hacked off by the non-extension period to renew season tickets at early bird prices. I was fortunate? to be on holiday during the renewal period and missed the deadline. I am also annoyed by the fact that the only correspondance I've received for not renewing is from Carol Deakin!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

0-0 bore draw as I'm watching my only game in four seasons.

Jeef Boner to miss kick-off.

Given the last two results, i'm expecting a draw or defeat.

Hope i'm wrong, obviously.

Anyone that comes in the posh stand has to clean it up after them...

Clean sheet (there's a connection there) to be maintained - 2-0 to Walsall

Ricketts and Ibhere, with Clayton saving a penalty in the second half.

4,857 including 442 from Cumbria.

If Exile is here, i may be tempted to pop into the Saddlers Club for a pint to put a few more faces to names instead of my usual visit to the Fullbrook. I presume tinned and a few others i know will be there?

The only confusing thing for me with Carlisle's 0(0) stat is that they had a penalty saved. Surely that's a shot, and one that was on target too?

I'm not sure whether a penalty counts as a 'shot', as it is not during open play. Still, at the moment, who cares  ?

I guess you're right in that that's the way the statistics are done. It does seem a little silly. Anyway, come on you saddlers!

I notice Gerrard just took a goal kick (according to soccernet anyway). Has Ince picked up a knock?

Excellent performance today, good attacking stuff... Mention to Jabo for his powerful attacking play, also held the ball up well.

Thought we were coasting until the penalty then a couple of jittery moments, but then it wouldn't be Walsall would it.

Laundry and Nicholls also provided energy down the wings.

Well Done Mullen and Well done Walsall..

Boo to the stayaways
