Walsall fan, Alex Hartsorne of Stonnall ran the line for 20 minutes when the assistant ref had to go off with a bad stomach

Rhys was at Hednesford in his suit and shades, sat next to Jimmy Mullen for some time during the match.
4 - 0 at the moment, Suffo has scored twice.

Re: 15/7/08 - Worcester City (a)
if we dont sign grant then im not getting a season tickt he is pure quality. suffo and reich were very impresive, palmer looked like he would be a good signing and ba showed encouraging signs but i rreally liked the look of reich suffo and grant who was excellent.

Worcester City 0 4 Walsall
played at St. George's Lane
Walsall (1st half)
Clayton Ince
Mark Bradley
Anthony Gerrard (Capt.)
Steve Roberts
Chris Palmer
Marco Reich
Anthony Grant
Dwayne Mattis
Sofiene Zaaboub
Jabo Ibehre
Georges Ba
(2nd half)
Rene Gilmartin
Richard Davies (Josh Craddock, 71 mins.)
Manny Smith
Tom Schwarz
Netan Sansara
Marco Reich (Charlton Davies, 63 mins.)
Mark Lowe
Patrick Suffo
Ishmel Demontagnac
Alex Nicholls
Troy Deeney
Unused Substitutes
Harry Harris
Hassan Bacchus
Still no Weston, Boertien or Taundry (presumably injured)
Goal log:-
24th min:- 0-1 - inch perfect cross from the right by Reich, powerfully headed home by Mattis.
36th min:- 0-2 - a good individual goal by Ba as he cut in, beat two players before shooting home.
54th min. – 0-3 – excellent finish from outside of the penalty area by Suffo
64th min. – 0-4 – another superb strike by Suffo, this time turning and shooting in one flowing movement.
Comments:-
A win every bit as comfortable as it sounds. The triallists did their chances no harm but I am still waiting to be won over by Ibehre. Good to see Mattis looking fit and mobile; Roberts was sound and Zaaboub was frustrating. Can’t get too worked up yet by a win a win over a team three levels below us but there were many positive signs. Roll on Rushall on Saturday.

Re: 15/7/08 - Worcester City (a)
Actually, the score could have been more. In the 51st minute, Ishy coolly beat two men and cut in to score but Deeney, instead of just following the ball into the net, just had to kick it, didn't he? - offside (shades of Leitao at Stoke, a few years ago). Then, in the last minute, Suffo, clean through, one-on-one with the keeper, tried an exquisite chip shot which, unfortunately, went just wide. It would have completed a sublime hat-trick.
