Luton (a) - 22nd February 2005

This is it. The big one. Luton have not beaten us for almost 9 years. Even if they go up they'll come straight back down - the club is still losing money hand over fist and Newell will go on to bigger and better things. C'mon the lads.

Study these reports Merse and you'll unlock the secrets of how to play Luton - Wracky always has a good game, they can't handle pace, put a man on Howard and rough him up and his temper will blow.

The result of this game really will depend on which Walsall team turns up - will it be the hungry heroes, or just the brain-dead wasters? Can we find a positive middle ground? Wil we see tactics or repetition? The asnwers to al lthese questions and more will be found at Luton on Tuesday night.

Me? Feeling positive today, so I'll plump for a 2-1 Saddlers win.

We have a good record against Luton and we have pooped a few of their parties in recent years and I'd love us to do it again after the way some of their fans took their defeat to us at Bescot.

1-0 scrape with this new defensive formation being key.

Yes, MMF - remember "Nigel Laracroft" who did not take kindly to Neil Ravenscroft's perfectly accurate report?

In all honesty, I hope they are promoted as they are the best team to visit Bescot this season, despite all their off-the-field problems. I wish them all the best - AFTER Tuesday!

no theyre not! brizzle city were the best in my opinion with lita excelling, howard and vine on the other hand were useless cloggers in comparison.

i hope they dont go up as theyll probably have to lofge admin soon if theyre still losing money "hand over fist"

Try re-arranging the letters in the name Luton Town, then apply the rules of the pools coupons - perm any 3 from 9 or something of the sort - and finally add a bit of imagination, you can actually get "Poor Loser". :D

I don't think they'll have to worry about that on Tuesday though, even with my most optimistic hat on I can only see a defeat. If Mark Wright and Daryl Taylor play as badly down the right as yesterday, and with Zigor hardly more than a very average left back, LT will be far more capable of taking us apart than MK Dons were yesterday - and we could have lost to THEM. I think this could be a biggie.

I'd love it if we could shove their fans' snivelling comments right back down their throats, but I really can't see it happening.

Luton 4 Saddlers 1 - and I hope I've got it very very wrong !

How many do you think we will bring to Kenilworth Road? I'm going with about half a dozen mates from school.

3-0 defeat. the best we could hope for is a draw...... ouch match i think. However having said that Walsall always have the nack for giving teams up the top of the league abit of a run around pompey 3-2 (almost won it), west brom 4-1... and more..... hopefully?

Super Saddlers

Mon Feb 21, 2005 7:51 pm

Howards out.....
Hes a donkey anyway!
Used to see him at Northampton before they sold him
Luton...Big ugly bunch from what I remember with supporters to match
The young legs will once again rule over beef and brawn
We will run them ragged in the centre of the park and the cold/icy conditions they will not like
Got to be a Saddlers win with wracky getting the winner
Come on you Saddlers

Better research needed - he played on Saturday and they are expecting an unchanged squad, according to their official site.

Score draw for me. 1-1 or 2-2. It's freezing ******* cold and if we frustrate them with tight play theres maybe an outside chance of us snatching a winner.

In my dreams

Is that real flu, or "man flu"? If the latter, he'll probably play! (That bloody article wasn't on their official site when I did the preview. Bloody southerners, can't get anything right, moan, moan, grumble).

anyone care to guess the quantity of unnecessary additional clothing?

I'll go for Merse - gloves
Wright - gloves
Taylor D - gloves
Aranalde - gloves and tights.

Any advance?

The Walsall broadcast doesn't work.

I have to listen to Lutons commentators that works.

I can't get the Saddlers (WM) commentary either, I'm having to listen in on the Luton commentary.

Why does this seem to be happening so regularly! :x
