As we are again resorting to lumping the ball up the pitch, and noticing on Tuesday Clayton on the half way
towards the end dying to join in,perhaps as he is the tallest they could give him a go up front.
I-O Ince's first goal for the club.

3-0. We only have trouble with teams that ain't won for ages, so considering the cherries are on a very good run, should be easy peasy

Team for today:

01 Ince
02 Weston
20 Smith
05 Gerrard
26 Taundry
18 Bradley
08 Dobson
16 Holmes
19 Deeney
10 Mooney
28 Betsy

Substitutes
13 Bossu, 04 N'Dour, 15 Brown, 17 Nicholls, 22 Sonko

Looking like a 4-4-2, or at least I hope with the reports about Betsy being so much better up front than on the right in recent games.
Good to see young Bradley back. If nothing else, these last few games are a good chance for the youngsters to show their talent a bit more ahead of next season.

Another one of those days where lots of ex-saddlers score goals.

Keates, Mark Wright, Fox (a screamer into the top corner apparently) and Barrowboy (2) have all netted for their teams.

Meanwhile we are still 2-1 down. :(

We can't seem to beat anyone at home this season mate. Had a look at the league table last night and suddenly noticed how appaling our home record is compared to other teams around and below us. In fact three teams in the bottom 4 that have won more at home than us and only 2 teams in the whole division have won less at home. Sad when you consider we have done so well away and have conceded the least goals out of anyone.

We are good enough away to get promoted, we are too defensive at home to get promoted.

There has not been the slightest doubt about this since the Leeds defeat. We gave up a long time ago - psychologically anyway.

Keith Andrews has banged a third in for McDongs and Michael Leary for Barnet (think he's the one we had on loan from Luton?!?)

Do you not look at the current form tables? Bournemouth have won the last five and beat Bristol Rovers fairly comfortably last week. Did you really expect us to turn them over easily when you consider how consistently crud we have been recently?

Our away record is better than all the top 6 except Leeds and Swansea. Our home record is abysmal - 5th worst in the whole division. Three out of the bottom four have a better home record than us. In fact, if we hadn't had that purple patch in the middle of the season, we'd be down there with them.
It's going to be a great season - next season!

Exactly our problem, and pretty much what I'd put a few minutes ago. If you also look at the teams doing well at the moment, they have people scoring consistently. Brighton have Murray, Crewe have Maynard, Bournemouth have Kuffour etc etc. This is something we need to address in the summer if we want to seriously contend for promotion next season.

What the hell is going on? Pershore Saddler is "watching" this game on BBC live text from a hotel room in China (where it is just before midnight on Saturday). Leeds seem to be handing us chance after chance to make the playoffs. And to think that I have stayed-in on a Saturday night to witness this. Only consolation is that it is probably even worse for all you poor souls actually witnessing it at the ground. :(

Just noticed that Leeds are 2-0 up with minute to go, so our result probably would noy have made much difference. My blood is still at boiling point about the last couple of months at my beloved club though! :x :x :x

It's another miserable Saturday night in Hong Kong - our first typhoon of 2008 has livened things up a bit, though..

Did i say that?

The point i was making is,to go up, you gotta be able to beat Bournemouth at home. More to the point, win at home in general.
