Swindon Town (A) League 1 23.02.08

Sat Feb 16, 2008 3:07 pm

If we get a few people in and a goal scorere i believe we can push through for "at least" the play offs. However swindon looked a good side at our place and have recently beat forest, so it might be a tougher one then people expect. Although if we can get Mooney fit, get michael ricketts of to his standard of replacement i dont see why we cant do this.

Swindon 0-1 Walsall

Sonko 57 *

659 saddlers their in fantastic voice as always.

Form Guide Swindon's last 6 league games.

Crewe - away - drew 0-0
Luton - away -won 1-0
Northampton - home - drew 1-1
Huddersfield -away - lost 0-1
Cheltenham - home - won 3-0
Forest - away - lost 0-1

Back to business and hopefuly back to winning ways , who will ever forget our last visit to the County Ground "championees"
make no mistake this is just as an important game , i feel we'll need 3 points to keep our play off place.
for the record our hosts are 11th in league 1 - 43 points from 31 games.

Prediction Swindon 1-2 Walsall . Holmes and Mooney.

We'll go there with the intention of a draw - no firepower to get anything else.

End up with a 2 - 0 defeat

For the last few years, Swindon have played well against us. I just don't fancy our chances

The super saddlers will win 0-3 with goals being scored by ian roper, mooney and eddy sonko. Im still very very confident that we will make the play offs. Automatic might just be too much for the super saddlers, but the play offs walsall will be there.

A 2-1 win. Two early goals will see us through a 'Rourkes drift' like second half.

I think Dean Smith should keep his place anyway.

We will win this one. This time taking the chances we create. 2-0 to the lads.

Have a feeling we are going to loose this one :(

But I will go with my heart and say 1-0 to the Saddlers, Sonko, 395, Air Baloon, roundabout.

A tight 1-1 draw. Ropes to score off a corner.

I'm going to say 1-1 n all.

Zaaboub for them as he impressed me at our place.
Gerrard for us. (He's got to be due one!)

Anybody know if we're behind the goal, or stuck up the corner?

I would say in the corner, that's where we usually are. Last season was an exception, due to the 3,500 fans we took on the day. They only open the seating behind the goal if there is a big away following [say of a 1,000 plus]. Our 600 will no doubt be in the far corner down the side as a result.

1-1 says the head.

My heart is hoping for 1-2 , With Holmes and Mooney scoring on their old stomping ground.

The games against Swindon are always tight.

I think we take around 500 fans.

Yes we are stuck in the main stand! (The Arkells Stand)
