Carlisle United (A) League 1 Saturday 2/2/08
Form Guide . Carlisle's last 6 league games.
Hartlepool - home - won 4-2
Port Vale - home - won 3-2
Doncaster - away - lost 0-1
Crewe - home - won 1-0
Gillingham - away lost 0-1
Oldham - away - lost 0-2
Before tonights fixtures just 2 goals seperate us from Carlisle , however they have played 2 games fewer.
The Cumbrians home record stands at 10 wins 1 draw 1 defeat the loss coming against Tranmere on 8/9/07.
Predictions , the same score as the opening game of the season will do me nicely.

We can get a point. A very tough place to go, but I genuinely think we can keep our long unbeaten run going.
A testing 1-1 draw for us. The Moonster to score.

Will be very happy with a draw. I think we will equalise 1-1. Mooney or Sonko.

We can get a win even allowing for their home record. We stuffed Oldham when they were bang in form, as we did to Yeovil and at Doncaster.
A point would still be a great result though, even better if we could have got the 3 against Orient.
We've often drawn at home then won away and I hope we do it again. A win up there might even banish the negative thoughts of some of the most negative fans.

Better not be after buying those train tickets. A day out somewhere en route will be fun though. :)

When your a fan and only a fan what's the one thing and the only thing you can do?
I'll be there tomorrow :D along with my four sons :D , same old Walsall, same old hopes, same old ambitions, same old disappointments, same old fans, supporting my team.
Last week we were in the play off positions, this week we still are and have £1.5 million in the bank.
The years just roll by don't they?

I can picture the scene tomorrow.
Ropes trying to pick up the pace on a wet. slippy pitch.
Sent off, suspended until the loan window re-opens.

Manny Smith comes in, plays a blinder, leaves in a year and a bit for £1.5m. Everyone goes stark raving bonkers at the way we let the best English defender since Bobby Moore go for tuppence h'apenny. Scott Dann returns on loan, which appeases no-one.

The Carlisle site is saying 'No pitch inspection needed. Match on'
Holmes to score a hatrick today
2-3 to the Saddlers

I can't beleive I am gonna be out all afternoon... I will miss WM's extensive coverage. Oh well, I will just read this thread on my return to see the range of emotion - always good fun after an away game reading the match thread.

Today's team:
Ince
Weston
Gerrard
Roper
Boertien
Sonko
Bradley
Wrack
Holmes
Betsy
Mooney
Subs:
Bossu
Demontagnac
McDermott
Deeney
Taundry
Nicholls not even on the bench? I guess Betsy is either wide right of a five-man midfield, or up front.

Concidering league positions and recent events at Walsall this could be the most important game of the season -

I would rather have Betsy in than Deeney though. I think 451 could work well today, lets see!
