DD was very impressive in his post match comments. He seemed very determined and stressed the importance of an all encompassing team ethic. He commented that he smiled at the E & S article which said that he was "reeling from the loss of Sweeney and the bid for Fox". He replied re Sweeney: " Who cares?" and complimented Fox on his ongoing commitment and that he hoped he would be playing for the Saddlers on Saturday.

DD not happy with the way Sweeney went about things by the sound of it. Superb stuff.

17 games unbeaten , i had the Oldham result as the result of the season this beats that , fantastic stuff.

UP THE SUPER SADDLERS

Quote DD on WM . I Don't like to single out individual players but Troy Deeney came of age tonight , he also spoke very highly of the performance of Danny Fox.

Great game. Very happy.

Commentary broadcast (post-match chat obviously, now) still on, which is unusual for SadWorld so long after the match - they normally pull the plug pretty fast!

Fantastic result. I think this may be the result of the season so far. And 17 unbeaten is very impressive indeed.

They're probably scared of geting electrocuted with all the water that must be around it!!

Top result anyway. Can't wait to see the goals on TV. I think I've run out of enough hyperbole to describe some of the young players at the club. No Mooney, Ricketts off and they still manage to score twice in the last half hour to win a game that I'd pretty much written off as a point at best. Quality!

:D :D :D :D :D :D

Quite right, Duke. DD was very complimentary about the performance of Deeney, describing him as "coming of age tonight".

Mind you, you never win anything with kids

Well... I'm embarrassed to say, that I had forgotten we were playing tonight  went out to play squash, came back and watch a bit of footie on TV, sat on PC doing work (unusual that I didn't even check UTS). Then wifey comes back from Gym chanting and singing... needless to say I guessed we had done OK, but 0-2 is a great result.

UTS, a nice surprise for me at 10pm, I guess I ought to go now, wife is in a good mood

Can't believe it - well done to the Lads'. I would have settled for a draw before the game. Merson said that if we could go in 0-0 at half time we would probaby win it - how right he was. I didn't believe we would do it without Mooney or Ricketts on the pitch - how glad I am to be wrong!!!!!! Onwards and upwards!!!!

I don't know why some of you conceive of this game as being any tougher than those in the recent past.
This defence has conceded 4 goals in 13 games and a miserly 2 in 5 on the road.

Keep the faith.

Job done,move on.

Just need to adjust those figures.

Lesson for DD there :)

Come on you Reds!!!!

Why is it for a few ignorant people who can't support the whole team that Ricketts remains a marked man.

Now then, let me think. Who would I trust with my team on a Saturday ? Who is the most trustworthy and knowlegable judge of a player? A manager who has inspired a team to achieve the almost impossible over the past three months...who said of Ricketts tonight that he brings quality to the team...OR...OldPenkSaddler who describes the same player as a fat lazy nomad. Mmmm. Tough one that.
