I hope this isnt the start of our run of bad luck!. I just hope the Mooney injury isnt too serious, id rather lose the match today if it meant mooney would be fit next match than the other way round.

Although i will remain positive! Deeney is due a goal!

Just got in and turned saddlersworld on, following my trip back from the Motherland.

How bad did Mooney's injury sound?

What happened with the goal?

Well, the unbeaten run was going to end sooner or later. Of all the teams, though, not Port Fail! Let's see if we can grab something in the last few minutes, but I'm not hopeful. We'll just have to regroup for the game at Oldham.

Mick Kearns waffling on and adamant that it did not deserve a straight red.

Buffoon.

Kearns, that little piece of yellow paper the ref produced prior to the little red piece of paper meant it was for a second bookable offence.

Buffoon.

At least its only a one game ban. Enter, Mr. Taundry...........

This is proving to be a costly afternoon, and illustrates the problem with operating with such a thin squad. I hope the injury to Mooney is not too serious, fingers crossed. We have had a good run, a pity it may end against such a mediocre side as Fail.

Christmas is a funny time for results. No team ever wins all its matches, and the form book goes out of the window with so many games in such a short space of time. Today's results in league 1 prove this.

As you say, its not the defeat but the suspensions/injury that is going to prove very costly.
