I can now afford to nip out to the shops before the full times come in!

Didn't think we'd be in this position by half time - we're meant to play better in the second half, what could the score end up being?!!

Wonder if he'll play up front, or if Deeney will move inside and he goes on the right.

Another 3 points and a great start to the festive features. Definitely looking forward to Port Vale, the team's confidence should be sky high and hopefully we'll see a cracking game! :D

Planned to make it today, but have been laid low with some sort of bug. Pity, because it sounds like a good performance.

I listened to Leeds/Bristol Rovers Second half commentary on BBC Radio Bristol, and Rovers were more than a match for the hosts, sucker-punched by another late goal from the 'European Champions'. The roar of relief at Elland Road at FT said it all. If they continue to have the luck that they've had in the last two matches, they will go up :( .

Now for the Fail.

Oh, what a lovely win!
Just shows how my expectations have risen with the Team - I'm disappointed we only got 3 after being 3 up at half time.
Mustn't grumble - REALLY mustn't grumble. The Team are doing us proud!
Get in there, lads!
It might be a bit early, but we could just make the playoffs...

Looking forward to the match reports.
How did Taundry do? Can't say fairer than YET ANOTHER CLEAN SHEET for Ince (Clayt the Great) and the rearguard, so he must have played his part.
Who was MoM for the Team of the Year :D

Brilliant performance.

Weston MOTM for me, was awesome.

Bit of a disappointment for me with Bradley getting injured, lets hope its not too serious.

I cant help thinking we need a right winger of genuine quality, cos thats the bit of the jigsaw we are missing, cos Deeney aint got a clue how to play there, he tries hard but not good enough atm.

I think getting a decent right winger would be the difference between 10th and 6th.

Taudrey i think had a dodgy first 15-20 minutes, missed a few challenges, played a few wayward balls, but by the 70th minute he was as comfy on the ball as anyone had been.

Didn't let a slow start get to him, evem seasoned pro's who start games poorly don't always find there feet. Well done Taundry.

Also well done to Nicholls. I was scathing of him at Northampton, thought he put in the most inept performance i've seen in my 20 odd years a Saddler, but today he showed signs of promose well done Nicholls.

Great to see Akinfenwa kept in check, he usually bags a goal against us.

We were brilliant overall today. It was odd that we played our best football in the second half, in which we didn't manage to score, but Pidgeley made 2 of the best saves you'll probably see at this level from Sweeney and Weston.

I thought they started brightly and we were in danger of being outclassed by Alexander up front who looked a real handful. One moment of top notch play from the front 2 (and an excellent cross by Weston) saw us take the lead though, and there was no looking back.
I'm still not sure if we were that good in the first half, or if their defending was simply awful. A case could be made for both. Sweeney's flexibility in midfield was causing them problems, with Bradley and Wrack in particular covering ground as well as they have done since they started playing in midfield together.

Where we needed to, we worked hard. Notable mentions to Scott Dann for his excellent block in our own penalty area when we were 3 up, Taundry for keeping things simple, not getting over-awed by the ocassion and for playing in an unfamiliar position, and the same to Deeney who worked really hard on the right of midfield. The fans' reaction when he was substituted should give him an idea of how well he played.

There isn't really a lot else to say other than to highlight the fact that no player had a bad game. The fact that we had so many young players on the pitch at the end of the game was very satisfying. I just hope we can keep them all beyond January because with a couple of additions, the playoffs are definitely achievable.

Best first half I've seen for a while. Weston and Sweeney stood out for me as well as Mooney of course, but everyone deserves a pat on the back for a great showing. The result never looked in doubt, how often can we say that.

Not bad for a team that a lot of "experts" thought would be relegation fodder.

What a challenge by Weston 1st half.
Completly missed the ball, nearly cut the guy in half and the ref don't even give a freekick.

I couldn't believe he didn't get a card for that, and that was before I realised that the referee hadn't even given a free kick. Weston made a few crunching tackles today and looked well up for it. He's probably been our most improved player over the last month or so.

I went to the game today. Pretty comfortable. Taundry for his 1st ever start in the 1st team i thought he was decent, Weston for me was probably MOTD while Gerrard & Dann where as solid as they normally are ( just a few mistakes made by gerrard).
Wrack & Bradley looked very comfortable & for me Wrack was the better of the two today. Deeney i thought was great & i thought he deserved a goal for his work. Ricketts was poor, he doesnt move at all does he?
Now some people at the ground today where saying that the fans love Mooney to much and that we start chanting his name over any little thing, i'm sorry this lad is a 36 year old man playing the last couple of years of his career & he's playing brilliantly most every game so why shouldn't we praise him?

I think you've got your acronyms mixed up. Weston was good, but probably not good enough to be Match of the Day!
