0-2 walsall
mooney & gerrard

the reason for Gerrard is because he has been on brilliant form recently & he deserves a goal.

An entertaining 2-2 draw with Ricketts getting both. 5,165 with 1,100 Saddlers.

Hopefully they've come to watch Paul Hall before putting a £500,000 bid in.

0-0 HT

Listening to Mick Kearns struggling to complete every sentence as a match "summariser" on SaddlersWorld is cringeworthy.

He makes the post-match callers into WM sound like broadcasting professionals.

I can't listen to WM. I have switched over to Crewes commentary. They at least tell you what is going on.

at least kearns tries to talk about the match, the crewe commentator was more interested in scores in other games for the last 10 minutes of teh half!

I was in the Northampton supporters club before the match at Sixfields and saw Mick quaffing ale.

I realised at that point why he talks such drivel on a match day, being on the lash and all that.

WM always try to make out the Midlands side have dominated. I remember Wolves losing 6-0 at home to Southampton last season. Apparently they'd dominated the game from start to finish, but been hit on the break six times...

(That said, after an hour we've had seven shots to Crewe's one, so maybe they're telling the truth this time!)

Am listening to Saddlersworld. We're all over them. The right hand speaker on my computer (at the end where Crewe's goal is) is working overtime. Haven't heard a pip out of the left hand speaker all game.

Ishy on for sweeney.

C'mon.

Full time 0-0 , sounds like a game we should have won but I'll never complain about an away point , bring on Leeds .

Agree with all that Dave.

Frustrating though, seeing as we appeared to be so dominant.

it happens many times in football . a team dominate only to concede a late goal , away point . clean sheet i'm happy.

Yep, only 2 goals conceded in 8 League and cup games now. Just as well, bearing in mind who visits next Saturday. Can't wait.

Very happy with another clean sheet, an away point, and the fact we seem to have totally dominated the match.

Shame we didn't get the winner that our dominance warranted, but that's how it goes sometimes and at least we didn't end up getting suckered at the death, as can so often happen to teams in this situation.

So it's on to next week and the biggest test of the season so far, after we've got the cup match out of the way on Tuesday.

Sounds like another positive performance and goes to show how far we've come recently that we're disappointed with an away draw.

I can't remember when we last went unbeaten away from home for so long - 8 games now [9 if you include the FAC at Northampton].

It's good to be a Saddler at the moment :) .
