Watched the reserves at Tamworth this afternoon, I am pretty sure Leamore was not there, so if he doesn't mind me using his format, and you are interested in a sketchy report here it is
Walsall 5 Bradford City 2
Team :-
Bertrand Bossu
Richard Taundry
Hassan Bacchus(Dexter Ravenhill 65 mins?)
Charlton Davis
Manny Smith
Tom Schwarz
Richard Davies
Alex Nicholls
Troy Deeney
David McDermott (Andrew Bentley 45mins)
Netan Sansara
Subs:-
Dexter Ravenhill
Alan Wilkes
Dan Schwarz
Andrew Bentley
Edward Ryan
Goals:-(All times approximate)
15 mins Hassan Bacchus with a fierce drive from just outside the area after a good move on the left
35 mins David McDermott picked up the ball in midfield and ran towards the area. His speculative drive was deflected and the keeper was already committed
40 mins A cross come shot from Netan Sansara was only touched by the keeper, leaving Troy Deeney with a tap in
60 mins Bradford scored fom a penalty following a dreadful back pass which left Bossu stranded
70 mins Bradford scored a very good goal with a fierce shot from just outside the area which gave Bossu no chance
75 mins Dexter Ravenhill scored from close in after good work by Deeney
80 mins A cross from the left (scource unknown) completely deceived the Bradford keeper and went in at the far post
A very entertaining game as the scoreline suggests. Walsall completely dominated the first half and Bossu only had to make one save. After the interval Bradford were a very different side and deserved their two goals, but once Walsall re-established supremacy with the fourth goal they were not in it again.
Players who stood out, Nichols who had a very good game, Bacchus, all of the defence. I have yet to be convinced about Deeney, he does a lot of running but was regularly caught offside, and seemed slow to react when chances arose.
Attendance:- About 50, including Dicky Dosh who sat in the stand and Geoff Bonser

The OS credits Deeney with a header for the fifth.
