Northampton Town (A) F A Cup 2nd Round Saturday 1/12/07.

Sun Nov 25, 2007 7:30 am

I'm sure Richard Money and the lads won't need me to remind them of complacency Northampton will be all out to avenge our league victory.

Prediction - I got yesterdays score correct , that makes a nice change for me , all I'll say on this one is Walsall will make the 3rd draw.

We might need a replay to do it though.

Sod it, i'll go for a Walsall win 2-1.

Dann and Ricketts.

Probably about the same attendance as yesterday, maybe a shade less at 5,398 including 1,001 from Walsall.

Lightening rarely strikes twice, plus Northampton will be highly motivated after yesterday.

A 1-1 draw and 'in the hat' for the Third Round.

Tight game, and a narrow 1-0 for the Saddlers.

To be honest didn't see anything that worried me yesterday and a couple of their players are cup tied. 3-0 to the Super Saddlers

Think we'll have to replay this one! 1-1 with Mooney scoring for us. Hope I'm wrong though.

Maybe it`s the three players coming in that we don`t know of we may have to worry about :?

Given the reduced prices, a bigger gate than the league game is quite likely surely?

A draw.

I thought it was against FA Rules to reduce prices for an FA Cup game

Isnt it just to do it selectively? You can't give a home fans reduction without offering it to away fans as well?

Not sure.

I thought that too. Apparently it turns out that you can reduce them if both teams agree, but not to less than £10 for an adult or the FA get upset that they're losing some of their share.

What's the capacity of Sixfields anyway? It was pretty full last weekend with 5,500+ in there. Can't believe they could have fitted more than another couple of thousand in. Might get close to a sell-out with the reduced prices.

At this point I will declare that I am going.

That should ensure a sell-out.

How many people do you reckon will be attending cuase i would think that not that many people would bother going there for a second time in such a short period of time.....but then again it is the FA cup

I'd say we are likely to be near 1000. Or perhaps 800, who knows we could sell the 1,300 out but i doubt that higly. My bet is just a nudge below 1,000.
